Wentworth Golf Club

I've played here before but was very disappointed in the conditions. We haven't had much rain recently yet it was very wet. Does not drain well. Nearly every tee box was under repair with temporary tee boxes. Only the greens were in good shape. Played in the afternoon thinking traffic would be light but pace was very slow. Would recommend Lansbrook or Crescent Oaks nearby over this. Very disappointed.

Overall the course has been way better back in the day honestly it’s hard to find many good courses in the area. You mine as well go out of state to play a decent round of golf

Course was in fairly good shape but all normal tee boxes were shut down and temporary tee boxes were in high rough and in terrible condition. Greens were in good condition and consistent. The issue was with pace of play. To be honest this happened late in the round at the 15th hole. When we got to the hole two gentlemen were just teeing off from the red tees. After watching them progress about 150 yards in 5 shots we decided to go around them to the 16th hole. The group behind us did likewise. After finishing up on the 16th we noticed the two in the original slow group went around us and proceeded to the 17th in front of us. They would not let us go theu. It took us another hour to finish our last two holes for the the day. Where are rangers when you need them?

Had we been told they were overseeding. We would have played somewhere else did not want to play back nine twice

The course was in good condition. Lots of sand where should be rough. Women’s tee boxes are not the best at all. Overall nice day. Good fir practice.

Great design. Greens were in great shape. Tee boxes and fairways left a lot to be desired. Apparently after private club failed, maintenance of course deteriorated. Hover great , interesting layout and greens are still very nice. Great bang for the buck!

Wentworth was a solid course. Enjoyed it. Would go back after exploring more local clubs. Tight course. Hit em straight.

I first want to compliment the entire staff as all where very friendly. The greens are in pretty good shape. Not close to the 10 on the stemp meter they state going to the first tee. The driving range is very rough. Old worn out mats and only 250 yds long with an assortment of worn out to new range balls. I played the black tees/tips and the the surfaces were very rough and honestly need to be resoded. Fairways have a mixture of grasses/weeds from tee to green with some areas that that are more weeds than grass. Bunkers had A LOT of rocks so be careful. Layout is very tight so bring some extra balls!! For $30 it was an ok day but don’t expect anything close to above average for course condition overall. Food in the grill was excellent and reasonable draft beer prices.

Played a complete round at Wentworth on Friday afternoon, 3pm to 7pm. Course in great shape, excellent pace of play.

It's a challenging course for me, even though I am self-taught for 55 years. (maybe that's my problem!)

I recommend it. Great mid-afternoon rates.

If I lived nearer, I would golf there more often.

Tee time was purchased, upon arrival and sent to first tee, we were greeted by a hs golf team. 4 on the green 4 just driving, 4 on the tee box and more waiting. Obviously we were then told that they had to move us to hole 10, no big deal. However, when we came back to 1, they started sending people off and it was at a standstill. We did the golf course a favor by coming in and understanding the miscommunication. We were told by a nice younger gentlemen, no refund can be given, has to be from golf now. We will call in the AM. A simple voucher would have done the job, everyone happy.

Cart path only. Back 9 has a great layout, but was soaked and mushy. Greens were in great shape. Front 9 zig zags and you have to watch for incoming balls from other holes. Fairways dried up fast. Tee boxes and fairways need a little work but greens were in great shape on both sides. Saw lots of deer, lots of water. Quiet with nature. Still a fun course. Will play again for sure.
