Temple Terrace Golf & Country Club

About
Opened in 1922, Temple Terrace Golf & Country Club is one of the oldest courses in the Tampa Bay area. In fact, it's the only 18-hole golf course in Florida that's listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It's the centerpiece of the Temple Terrace community and it's much loved by locals. At 6,443 yards from the back tees, the golf course is short by modern standards but what it lacks in length it makes up for in other challenges. The layout has a traditional design with small greens and tree-lined fairways that demand accuracy. Several strategically positioned bunkers also come into play along the greens. There are some tight spots and a fair amount of tricky holes, but overall Temple Terrace is player friendly enough for all skill levels.

Beautiful Course, Okay Shape
The course itself is beautiful, and that is mostly what you are paying for here. There are a bunch of large trees overhanging much of the course that make for beautiful scenery in a beautiful neighborhood.
The course itself is only in okay shape. The greens were pretty bumpy (though no dirt patches or anything) and it was often hard to tell where fairways ended and rough began.
Ultimately the course is well worth playing, but it is closer to a $50-60 course than 75.
review
Temple Terrace was in fine condition and worth the drive from the Port Richey area. Thursday was the perfect day to play as it wasn't crowded at all, in fact, we were able to tee off before our scheduled time......the staff there is very nice and accomodating.....looking forward to returning again sometime soon.....
From out of town,
Very easy straight course, but that was it. I showed for 730 tee time… couldn’t buy and drinks until restaurant was open at 1030-1100. No water Gatorade nothing. Cold water was available in coolers on course with paper cups. Greens hard, slow, and bumpy. Fairways had weeds and dead spots on a lot of fairways. Not all. I paid $72 for a course worth $30-35. Just my experience.
Very boring course
Course was in ok shape, fairways had a lot of dirt patches and dead grass. Almost every hole was straight with little challenge or difficulty.
Temple Terrace Golf
The staff is attentive to start and finish times and seeks the folder out to assist. The greens were wonderful and challenging from every angle. There has not been a lot of rain in the area but even the areas that looked dry were very playable. Loved this day of golf.
please turn on the water
Have played here before but poor condition today. Greens ok, some rough patches and very fast, but entire course has taken a turn for the worse. Yes it's hot and dry, but perhaps the sprinklers aren't working? Presumably they are on reclaimed water and should be able to water as necessary. Even newly laid sod squares in various places not watered. Fairways patchy throughout, tee boxes mostly ok. This course is a pretty straightforward, many decades old layout that is not particularly memorable, so if it's also in poor condition, there's not much that separates it from the city-owned munis in Tampa. Disappointed this time but just turn the water on and it should be fine.
Good golf
The grass is staring to grow a little. Greens need a little work to make them really nice. Dry dry golf.
Old school golf course.
Chose this course because of the reviews on GolfNow, did not disappoint👏👏 course is old school, very old traditional style course. Great layout, good tee boxes, great fairways, very good greens, very enjoyable round of golf. Got paired up with three local good guys to make the round fun. Highly recommended🍻👍
Temple Terrace
Thoroughly enjoyed playing this round of golf as we got in done with 4 of us in well under 4 hours. Course was in good condition and the the club house cashier was great and the guys who worked the cart barn as usual were on top of it when we were done..... Will definitely be going back very very soon

While it was a bit of a drive from the Port Richey area, it was well worth it. The course was in fine condition, nice wide, close cut fairways, beautiful close cut and fast greens....not too much water to contend with nor an abundance of sand traps......excellent staff that allowed us to tee off prior to a tournament.......
Tampa Golf
Nice course with interesting layout. Greens are very good and tough. Overall, the course needs water.
