Opened in 1922, Temple Terrace Golf & Country Club is one of the oldest courses in the Tampa Bay area. In fact, it's the only 18-hole golf course in Florida that's listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It's the centerpiece of the Temple Terrace community and it's much loved by locals. At 6,443 yards from the back tees, the golf course is short by modern standards but what it lacks in length it makes up for in other challenges. The layout has a traditional design with small greens and tree-lined fairways that demand accuracy. Several strategically positioned bunkers also come into play along the greens. There are some tight spots and a fair amount of tricky holes, but overall Temple Terrace is player friendly enough for all skill levels.

Recenley pluged greens without any alert or warning as to the green conditions. Full price chared with no accomadation or price reduction.
ROUGH SHAPE
Flat older-style somewhat likeable layout but conditions need much improvement. Heavy rain night before but course drains well except for the bunkers which need much more sand. Any sand actually cus they're more like thin dirt over clay. Greens were very recently punched and sanded but they rolled ok considering. Take some of that sand and add to the bunkers. Without better maintenance, this course will further decline fast which is a shame cuz it's a decent layout. We still had a very fun day as pace was good because few golfers were playing.
Nice course but overpriced
Played the course quite a bit and actually like it a lot. However, this is not a $65 a round course. Especially as it’s summer and the tees, fairways and greens are pretty shabby. Better deals available in the area.
Great day of golf
The course is part of the Florida Historic Golf Trail and is kept in great conditions.
The course fairways are cut and free of any obstacles. Sand traps were in need of a little care but not enough to prevent getting out.
Greens rolled true and fast. Pace of play was awesome for the front 9 however the back 9 presented a delay due to 3-some and 4-some that we playing slow.
I would definitely be returning.
Fairways and greens could use a little work but overall still a beautiful course to play.
Solid Easy Play
The staff are great from check in to taking the cart back. There are some patchy fairways and the sand traps need sand. This has been an issue for several years now. Its a fun course and worth your time.
Pretty Nice Comditions
First time playing it, and it's definitely not the last one.
The Staff is very kind and courteous, from the check-in to the cart girls.
The pace was great and the conditions on 06/19/2025, were Great!
People playing were nice and the three other singles I got paired with, were Amazing.
Beautiful Course, Okay Shape
The course itself is beautiful, and that is mostly what you are paying for here. There are a bunch of large trees overhanging much of the course that make for beautiful scenery in a beautiful neighborhood.
The course itself is only in okay shape. The greens were pretty bumpy (though no dirt patches or anything) and it was often hard to tell where fairways ended and rough began.
Ultimately the course is well worth playing, but it is closer to a $50-60 course than 75.

Temple Terrace was in fine condition and worth the drive from the Port Richey area. Thursday was the perfect day to play as it wasn't crowded at all, in fact, we were able to tee off before our scheduled time......the staff there is very nice and accomodating.....looking forward to returning again sometime soon.....
