About
Opened in 1922, Temple Terrace Golf & Country Club is one of the oldest courses in the Tampa Bay area. In fact, it's the only 18-hole golf course in Florida that's listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It's the centerpiece of the Temple Terrace community and it's much loved by locals. At 6,443 yards from the back tees, the golf course is short by modern standards but what it lacks in length it makes up for in other challenges. The layout has a traditional design with small greens and tree-lined fairways that demand accuracy. Several strategically positioned bunkers also come into play along the greens. There are some tight spots and a fair amount of tricky holes, but overall Temple Terrace is player friendly enough for all skill levels.

A rare find
This course is a rare find played with my son and two friends and we were amazed at this beautiful golf corse. Not very long but very narrow. Had some nice challenging holes.
It’s set in a very nice historic area of Tampa. If you get a chance to play this course do it you will not regret it.
A Gem...
This is an incredible golf course with lots of character and history. Great layout and perfect greens, maybe a tad too fast. Will definitely look to go back soon!!!
Classic tract
Fast and true greens. Tightly cut fairways. Fairways appear tighter from the tees than it plays. Beautiful old course with moss covered oaks and lots of character. A must play. Best course for the price.
Not Worth the Money
They charged $50 for a round and put us behind a women group of golfers, at least two foursomes
Then the greens on the back nine had recently been top coated and were sandy and they did it across the grain of grass this many ripples when trying to putt
Overall not worth the cost of the greens fee

Have played several times, course is in nice shape, tree lined old style course really enjoy
Great course fast play
Price was super and the pace was great. No backup and got out early. Nice people. We’ll definitely play again
Beautiful course
Beautiful course nice layout. Greens are in mint condition and fast fairways were in great condo and sand traps were nice and fluffy. My only negative thing to say about the course was that it didn't have a driving range.
What a Find!
We found a new course to add to our list of favorite courses! Friendly staff, well laid out course, good course conditions and smooth pace of play all made for an excellent round. We look forward to next time!
There’s a reason why a golf course is around for almost 100 years. Great layout and fun to play.
Good course
Course was in great condition. Some of the best greens in the area. Layout had some challenging holes as well as some more suited for amateurs. Staff was friendly and helpful. Would recommend this course for those looking to try something different from a typical country club layout.
The course has generous fairways with no surprises. The greens ran true.

Good Play & Excellent Service
The course play was good. We got there and the rain really came down..I mean torrential rain. By the time of play the course drained well and we enjoyed great play. James, the PGA, was very courteous and informative and helped with golf play. The course help very helpful and informative. I would definitely recommend this course and will play it again. The course challenging and wide open for play.

Tee times were spread out nice. The greens were punched a few weeks ago but they were true. I will be back
Beauty and the Beast
The course, the location and the history are gems. Truly a pleasure.
While the course had been private, it now is open non-members. The pace was steady but busy, with quite a few impatient members.
If you are a casual golfer make your reservation later in the day to avoid a full on press behind you.
Area favorite
Great course, lots of history. Greens were punched Monday and were very bumpy as expected. No doubt they will soon be back to their normal pristine conditions. The price was the same as usual even though the greens were below standard which was a little disappointing. That being said, I always enjoy this course, and I’m looking forward to playing at Temple Terrace again soon.
Temple Terrace Country Club
The staff makes this course even better than it is on its own. The greens are simply fantastic and as true as you will see in our area. The perimeter edges could be more plush but if your not there it doesn't matter. Will look forward to my next visit!!!
