Sherwood Golf Club
About
Sherwood Golf Club in Titusville originally opened in 1965 as a nine-hole course. Over the years it has changed ownership and undergone major renovations including the expansion into an 18-hole course. The new 18-hole layout measures 6,274 yards from the back tees. The player-friendly design features forgiving fairways and inviting greens. It's not a terribly formidable golf course but as one of the most affordable rounds in the area, Sherwood is popular among players of all skill levels. There are bunkers strategically placed along the greensides and fairways and water also comes into play on a few holes. One of Sherwood Golf Club's most memorable holes his the par-3 11th. This intimidating hole features a semi-island green that has been known to swallow a ball or two.

Good conditions and nice layout
First time on this course. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Fairways and greens in great shape. Nice layout with water on many holes but good fairway conditions. Once again here, the only problem was slow play. Too many twosomes were on the course and that slowed everything up. Management should have had twosomes pair up so as to keep the play moving forward. A big problem with all the Florida courses we have played this winter is that course management does not adjust for player volume. I will come back here to play again but not on a weekend. Just too crowded and not good course management to keep play moving forward.
Course was in good shape and a great value for the money! I’ll be back!
Good for the money
Nice set up, some holes are very challenging . Fairways and bunkers need some maintenance. All over good golf course.
Titusville s Best
This course is so awesome, I've been playing here for 25 years or more and the course is the best shape ever, great deal. I paid 14,.94 through Golknow what a deal!!!!
needs some TLC
course was challenging.. condition was weak...lots of garbage around.. friendly staff..
They shouldn’t have the back nine open. Much damage due to the water and they can’t cut the grass. Several homes have temporary tees but not mentioned online or in the clubhouse. Several fairways impassable with a cart and very wet walking. Give it until 2018 to dry out and get back into playing condition. Greens are pretty rough too. Slow and bumpy.
Nice Layout
The course itself was a little wet. But normal for summer in Florida. I've seen this course when it's been in pristine condition and was a little disappointed with the fairways and greens. The layout has always been a challenge and is a shot makers course. If you're not a long ball hitter and enjoy the old style courses, you'll enjoy this one.
Course needs quite a bit of work
Course in need of a lot of work. Seams to be let go for awhile now. I'm sure the dry weather we have had is not helping. Tee boxes were rough as well as fairways.
Greens rolled fairly well but looked to have moss growing on them. Cart paths in bad shape also.
convenience
Have played this course many times over past 4 years. Fairways yesterday were very unkept. grass needs mowing. Entire course has a feeling of neglect [ possibly because the property is for sale!!] Have repeatedly asked to have hand sanitizer in #7 bathroom. Wall unit is there but no product x2years. water coolers have mold and mildew on spigots
Like this course for it's convenience to our accommodation so hope their standards can be improved with new ownership as we would like to continue playing this course
The little course that could !!
I played Sherwood on 3/21/17. Its a small privately owned course in N. titusville. The greens were all in exceptional shape for this dry time of year. Fairways and T boxes were ok -good. Considering where this course was in the past 10 yrs. its been improved to the utmost. Give em a try. !
Sherwood.
Only thing great about this course is the layout and the greens are rolling fast. Tee boxes and greens are horrendous.
A fun round of golf
Much improved from a few years ago! The greens are in good shape although tricky to read and the cups were not finely cut. We didn't have many curl-ins. You had to hit dead center which added to the challenge. Speed of greens was very good. The rough was rough in terms of evenness of vegetation so again a challenge. Distances were accurate and fair for different levels of golfers (Red, Green, Yellow, White, Blue.). Bunkers still need work. Beware that water hazards cut in before greens so look at the map! Don't bother trying to get a snack at the turn since there is very little ready to go.
