Sherwood Golf Club
About
Sherwood Golf Club in Titusville originally opened in 1965 as a nine-hole course. Over the years it has changed ownership and undergone major renovations including the expansion into an 18-hole course. The new 18-hole layout measures 6,274 yards from the back tees. The player-friendly design features forgiving fairways and inviting greens. It's not a terribly formidable golf course but as one of the most affordable rounds in the area, Sherwood is popular among players of all skill levels. There are bunkers strategically placed along the greensides and fairways and water also comes into play on a few holes. One of Sherwood Golf Club's most memorable holes his the par-3 11th. This intimidating hole features a semi-island green that has been known to swallow a ball or two.

First time
Sherwood is a tight course. You really need to go with someone who has played the course before. The course is fair not tricked up but demanding of accurate shots. I heard in the past this course was in bad shape. Since they have new owners the greens were perfect. Fairways and tee boxes in good shape for wintertime. Well worth the price. It was busy so expect a little over 4 hours
will not Play after 10AM. course has too much slow play.
Course has nice layout in fair to good condition. They should weed out the slow play groups. My 3some continually waited for slow play/ clueless golfers. We played 13 holes in four hours and walked off the course. It is definitely slow play when you have 3 groups on most holes.
If the course is going to cater to slow play golfers the should spread their t-times to 20 minutes apart.
Good value and friendly staff
This course is in good shape and a great value for the money. It is busy most of the time we play but expected. The back nine stays wet after a heavy rain so be prepared. Greens are fast and in good shape.
good value course
Average conditions, but a great deal of improvement. Price and friendly staff make this course worth playing.
Nice old Florida style course
We enjoy playing it every time. It's both gettable, and challenging. Hitting fairways is important, the rough has teeth. Greens were in great shape, fairways were good, couple of rough tee boxes, but nothing to bad. I didn't shoot all that well, (unexpected draws off the tee), but enjoyed the round and the course anyway. It's hard to beat for the price.
Nice course, Great Value!
Sherwood is a nice course where you find yourself alone in the woods on parts of the course and it has an old feel to it that gives it charisma. There are challenges that keep it interesting and yet nicely playable. The value at this course is exceptional for the price. I recommend this course.
Good value
Was fortunate to have the starter allow us to go off on the back 9 first since there was a ongoing tournament .Greens were amazing ,fast and true .Other than a couple of holes cart path only the course is good value for your money ad fun to play .
Busy
This course used to be in terrible shape.
Remarkable improvement.
Excellent value for this time of the year.
Similar in style to Cypresswood G&CC, Schalamar Creek GC, & Golf Hammock CC.
12:56 tee time w/ wife for $14.98/ea thru Golfnow. Old School typical Florida course in subdivision setting. Pro Shop minimally stocked, mostly clothing but out of course logo caps. Tee boxes & fairways fairly plush & in decent shape, Straight drives a must. Tee shots can be tight. Medium sized Greens slightly elevated & rolling medium to slow paced. Battery powered carts w/ windshield & rain cover in back. It's a fun & fair layout. Will come back to play course & obtain logo ca
Do not play this course if...
If you are less then 25 hc do not waste your time. Great place for beginners and many free hours to play it.
Always friendly place to play
Sherwood holds no pretensions about itself. It's a neighborhood golf course offering you a round on a decent course for an excellent price. My wife & I are snowbirds from MI and we enjoy the course because it's fair and doesn't beat you up. Greens are in excellent shape this time of the year and it had rained over 3" a couple of days before & the course was drenched so it's hard to judge the rest.
A challenge!!
First time playing, but a surprising treat. Just play the course, place your shots and you will do well. Lots of woods on both sides and plenty of water hazards. Narrow course but fun to play. Irons will get plenty of use on this course.
Will go back
Most groups were playing the front nine twice instead of the back nine because there had been a lot of rain. I opted to play the back with cart path only in effect. I'll go back to see how it plays in less soggy conditions.
Excelent value
Flat course, relatively wide fairways, low cut rough.
In wet condition possible water on fairways or in bunkers. Two beginners in the fleet and we finished under 4 hours. For price we paid it was excellent deal.
Standing water
The fairways had some standing water from the recent rains. The greens have been recently aerated.
Swampwood golf
Ok. So yea it's cheap price is nice, but it looked like people went muddin through the fairways. I will admit that the front 9 was better than the back. And even though I had my lowest score. I prolly won't be back. At least for a while. Cheap beer and with good company. Overall. The price is right.
Very wet.
Course has improved with new owner. Still very soggy.
Course played well
Greens still in very good shape however course very wet due to recent rain days.
Excellent Course/Great Value
They have really done a great job with this course. Course played well even after some heavy rain. incredible value. The staff makes everyone feel like they are lifetime members. I'm definitely taking advantage of the July 4th special. .... buy $10 rounds of golf (unlimited).
just plain bad
greens like tile floor and fairways looked like battlefield. Cart had flat tire. Clubhouse and pro shop fantastic. Staff very friendly
