Sherwood Golf Club
About
Sherwood Golf Club in Titusville originally opened in 1965 as a nine-hole course. Over the years it has changed ownership and undergone major renovations including the expansion into an 18-hole course. The new 18-hole layout measures 6,274 yards from the back tees. The player-friendly design features forgiving fairways and inviting greens. It's not a terribly formidable golf course but as one of the most affordable rounds in the area, Sherwood is popular among players of all skill levels. There are bunkers strategically placed along the greensides and fairways and water also comes into play on a few holes. One of Sherwood Golf Club's most memorable holes his the par-3 11th. This intimidating hole features a semi-island green that has been known to swallow a ball or two.

FUN COURSE, GREAT VALUE, GREAT STAFF!
My wife and I regularly go to Sherwood due to the price, friendly staff and challenges of the course. Its an "old Florida" style course, with water and tight fairways that make you think about club selection and staying out of trouble on every hole. This place is one of my absolute favorites for a casual round.
Good course for the price
This course has been under new ownership for several years and you can search the improvements they've made. Nice greens and good fairways. This course has challenges and at the same time is a fair layout.
Great Deal
Have played here many times, the course has always been fun to play. The par 5's are a fun challenge especially the 2 on the back 9. Cart girl was awesome with impeccable timing. The bar staff was great never having to wait on our drinks.
The course is not in good shape
The greens are very patchy, slow and sandy with many bare spots.. Fairways have many bare spots and weeds growing all over the place. Basically the course is not in good shape which accounts for the low rates.
Fun day at Sherwood
Played Sherwood for the first time. Vacationing golfers, we really enjoyed the course. The staff was super friendly and we were not pushed all day which was awesome as we had a first time golfer and the round took a little longer. Course was in good shape except for the greens which needed some work and were not consistent. But it was exactly what we wanted, a nice course with a friendly staff, and we didnt hold up any golfer with our slower pace of play. Fun day!!!
Beautiful and fun layout
This course has incredible greens compared to a lot of places I have played recently! The only downfall is a few holes seem to hold some water from the Florida downpours we have had recently, so it was a little soggy on a couple holes, other than that it was perfect. Also have yardage markers plain as day on every hole which is a huge deal to me!!The staff is super friendly and will take care of you in any situation! Over all a great experience. Thank you Sherwood!
it's worth the ten bucks i Paid to play.
I liked the layout. You should prepare for some funky lies. I always play the ball down. On this course you will get bad lies in the fairway. The greens were fast compared to my home course. Overall, I enjoyed tthe course. I played white tees and used irons off several holes due to the hazards. I paid 10 bucks andbit is definitely worth that to play this course.
Home away from Home.
My parents live on the course, so I come down from New York a few times a year and play it everyday for a week straight. Great staff, pace of play is excellent (have never found myself waiting in the hot sun), and for the price you can't beat it. Just the right amount of water and greenside bunkers to test your game and keep you coming back for more. So forget about that last shot and have fun, there are plenty of birdies to be had at Sherwood.
A little disappointing
We have played the course in recent weeks and this outing was a little disappointing in that the fairways seemed "sandier" with many more spots of exposed sand. The greens also seemed to need attention. They had been in very good condition in recent years, but seem to have bare spots appearing more.
BACK 9 BEAUTY
COURSE OLD, NEEDS TO BE MANACURED,NICE LAY OUT ESPECIALLY THE BACK 9,LOTS OF CHARACTER NEEDS SOME TLC GREENS VERY BUMPY ,VERY SLOW BUT WOULD RECCOMEND THIS COURSE BECAUSE OF THE LAYOUT.
GREAT VALUE, Nice greens!
Had day off, cloudy and cool out. GolfNow to the rescue. 18hls and cart $22. Live nearby but had never played there. Aprons and greens were very nice. Fairways pretty tight. Hit 3 wood and irons off tees to keep out of wind and water. Nothing to fancy bout pro shop / grill / bar. A good value especially to challenge your short game.
Course in Great Codition
It's been about 5 years since I've played this course and I was very surprised of the nice condition. From Tee to Green was in excellent shape. Will definetley play again.
Enjoyable course
Not only good value for the money but also allround well maitained course. Proshop deserves a pat.
Several narrow fairways
If you are an average or below golfer take plenty of golf balls.
Very good value for the money
Fairly nice course. Pace at times slow. Fairways and greens in good conditionl. Challenging ; more than half the holes with water. Easy trip, near I 95.
traveling golfers
Nice layout mighvery tight even for advanced golfers. Very nice shape except for the cooler cop (aka starter.) Locals went out with coolers with alcohol seen by all and when we got to the first tee the cooler cop wanted to search the cooler for anything but water. but even with a dress code locals play in jeans and no one seems to care but non locals are told exactly how to dress and what they can have in their cooler. Bad form, I might go back but will have to think is it worth the drive from Kissimmee.
Course much improved!
Six years ago I said I would never play this goat track again. 3 years ago they started improving the course. Now it's just as good as several other courses in northern Brevard county. If you're looking for a challenging course without the fluff of a country club atmosphere at a good price - this course is four you.
Irritated with Starter
When you show up on time and pay to play and no carts are available you are not late for your tee time. If a group buys tee times together then they should play together. Making people wait to put 12 players off together is very poor customer service. Not going to play here again.
Good Course, Great Value at this time of the Season
Course in good shape, tight lies in a few places that is really the time of the year. Greens are wonderful ! I will play every chance I get, especially this time of year great value.
I don't know where you play, but take it from someone who Golfs, three times a week, that Sherwood's greens are the best of any of the lower-priced Courses and could challenge those of Brevard County country clubs.
