La Cita Country Club

would be a bit of a drive for some but I live on the east side so only about 40 minutes for me....nice course, interesting holes, good greens, some water to carry, a little terrain variation, certainly worth checking out

First time playing there. Very good experience checking in with the staff before start. Course is well layed out. Very mature trees forcing straight shots on most holes. Tee boxes and greens need some attention. Lack of rain in the last month or so making turf conditions more difficult to maintain. Definitely will return.

First time playing La Cita in several months. Course much improved and will be back soon!

This is one my favorite courses in the area for the price. If there was just a little better grounds maintenance and improvement to irrigation and tee boxes it would be one of the best in the area.

I played the Senior Composite tees to keep the course at a reasonable yardage, but, a couple of the Par 3s were over water and into the wind which made them tough. Probably should have bailed out and played to the sides of the greens and stayed dry. 170 yards of carry into a breeze is a little demanding. Some greens were a little rough, but they were pretty fast and firm. Most greens are well bunkered (also making the course play tougher when bringing in approach shots). Some of the greens are quite a bit below the surface of the green. Not enough to be blind, but, enough to get your attention (I'm not the best sand player). Cart paths were in rough shape, but, with the exception of a few greens the course was in good shape. Management was very nice considering I arrived 20 minutes late for my actual tee time, and they got me out.

The greens are completely destroyed and they kept using the sprinklers while I was on multiple holes.

I played this course a year ago and recall it being in great shape. I was therefore excited when I got a hot deal to play here again, even though it is a 50 min drive for me

I was greeted by a super friendly gentleman in the pro shop who explained the course to me, which holes were cart path only and how not to get lost going from certain holes to the next

The course started off nice but the. Some of the greens and fairways deteriorated quickly. The tee boxes were in very poor bare shape with lots of weeds. In 1 tee box there was even a big hole !

One of the cart path only fairways was so wet they had not cut the grass forever so after hitting what I thought was a great tee shot down the middle I could not find my ball !!

The overall layout is nice, particularly if you like to hit a fade

As it was a hot deal the value was ok but I would not want to pay full price to play here in its current condition. Hopefully the conditions improve as we move into the fall
