La Cita Country Club

After the turn a foursome appeared which slowed pace down.

I should have played this course from the men's red tees. I hit my driver an average of 165-170 yards but the other guys in my group wanted to play from the green tees at 5467 yards. Way too long for me.

Was disappointed to find the greens had been top sanded without warning but do understand the need. They rolled pretty well anyway. Beautiful day on a fun course! The staff and employees there are awesome!

Enjoyed my time here today with my best friend (my husband)! Course has a nice layout and the conditions are improving since the last time we played and the staff was very nice. No complaints. Definitely worth a try!

This wonderful Lee Trevino design is just improving continuously as this was my third round inside of 10 days. What’s most impressive is the staff and members who I’ve had the pleasure of interacting with who are just as outstanding. They all go out of their way to make sure that others enjoy their experience and want you to come back. My condolences...I will be accommodating their requests. About the actual course...it is an impressive layout favorable for left to right play with slope, elevation, church pew bunkers (they’re really pot bunkers in disguise and they’re penal), “post stamp” greens, and plenty of water with forced carries. You can play bomb and gouge but you should have an idea of where you are going otherwise just play the style of “SuperMex” to enjoy your experience. They are going the extra distance which you notice with the over seeded rye tee boxes and you can see that conditions are definitely on the upswing as I saw improvement from day one to day ten. I’m booking probably very soon as who wouldn’t enjoy this experience that awaits you. My best advice...take “Amen Corner” seriously and remember that the greens here are not the course’s defense...it’s getting to them at La Cita that becomes the challenge...just enjoy! I especially liked how one of the grounds crew staff said that he loved his job...impressive...Thanks La Cita ! ! !

Needs some TLC. Greens are a mess, much of the fairways are dried up or bare. She's over played and in rough shape.

Haven't been back to La Cita in almost 2 yrs. because the last couple of the times the conditions were fairly run down. I am happy to report that the staff has been hard at work and it showed. I always enjoyed the layout which has multiple different looks on each hole. This time around the tee boxes were much improved,especially on par 3's where some like to hit without a tee. Where some courses are having problems with bare spots on the greens the ones here were very good. Fairways were decent and you got extra roll after landing if that was your plan or not! Good weather brought out a lot of players so pace was good for the amount of golfers. Kudos to all involved and I'm glad to see this course on the way back.

Nice layout. Great shape for this time of year. Greens and t-Boxex perfect.

Love the doglegs. Course seems to have good crew doing the maintenance. The tee boxes are good & fairways are fast, but greens, fringes & other areas have bare spots. I’ll play here again soon.

This course has a beautiful layout. Unfortunately it is in very bad shape. I don't know how long it can survive. I know we are rain deficient but there should be grass on the fairways.

Fun and had some surprising challenges. Worth checking out if you haven’t played here yet.

Would highly recommend this course. Great staff , the course is in good shape . Stay for a drink and a bite to eat in the bar . The entire place is an enjoyable experience.
