La Cita Country Club

If I was in charge of this place, the entire rest of my budget will go into the course maintenance. The course conditions can only fairly be called a dog patch. The greens should destroyed and completely rebuilt. The course must only own one mower it appears that one is broken as the course is way, way over grown. To be fair, the area has seen alot of rain lately, but the grass wasn’t being mowed way before the term lately. The membership there should be outraged, unless they have never played anywhere else. Sorry La Cita, will not return.

Course was in much better shape than the last time I played here about a year ago. Very difficult course, lots of hanging trees hugging the fairways. Course management is a must to play here.

Beverage cart rep was very friendly...saw her 4 times throughout the round. Good value for the money.

One negative point...driving range was closed. It would’ve been very nice to know that ahead of time. It was closed for flooding, but the sprinkler system was ON....mixed messages and counterproductive, at best.

I lie the course the rain has really helped the course. Much better shape. didn't like cart path BUT I got over it. Enjoyed playing.

Recent rains have helped green up the course. Still a way to go but getting better

No complaints. There was an aerification alert but light punch holes didn’t affect play. Some great strategy holes like #6 with a dogleg left, fairway slopes to pond, then green elevation is up 50’+. The back nine starts with a straight ahead par 4, but then it gets pretty interesting with club choice and terrain.

We play La Cita several times a week. It's fine. Needs a little TLC but, like everyone, they are struggling during these trying times.

The fairways are not as wide as some newer courses, testing accuracy of my shots. Some fairways are surrounded by tropical jungles where the fairways turn 45°, an opportunity to use the fades and draws if your Tee shots are more than 200 yards. It is enjoyable course. Because of the COVID-19, the water dispensers are removed, a temporary inconvenience. To my surprise the greens were soft and slow.

This could be a great golf course if they could improve the conditions. I haven’t played there in months and was hoping for better conditions but didn’t get it. For the $14 Hot Deal it was acceptable but if you had to pay anything more, spend your money elsewhere. Whoever they have as a greenskeeper either doesn’t know how to grow grass or they aren’t spending the money to do so. The fairways have just an acceptable amount of grass to play from. The back tee boxes were not good. The greens still have dead spots around the edges. I would only recommend to a friend if I told them what I have stated in this review.

I would recommend this course. It is tight with lot of trees and water carries and water on both sides one holes. A few greens had bare spots, but overall good.

Was a bit concerned when I arrived to see a weekly mens group was scheduled. Folks were well coordinated, and after 2 holes, pace was reasonable the remainder of the round. Golfers were professional and reasonably respectful adhering to social distancing standards. Great day, Will visit again.

Compared with several other courses in the area, this place was in fantastic shape! Some areas need some work, but the greens were in really good shape. They recently punched the greens so they are running a bit slow at the moment, but I look forward to my next round here. Everyone was very friendly and the course itself is a nice challenge. I look forward to seeing this place when it is fully open and running.

Recent rain has really improved the overall course. There was an airification alert on Golfnow but the greens were pretty good despite recovering from maintenance. Really enjoy playing LaCita, the giant oaks, interesting layout and strategic challenges make for a fun competition.

My second time to play this course. The rain has really improved the fairways from a week ago, and the greens are in decent shape. I will be back.

the tee boxes were mostly dirt. you could find some grass here and there. the fairways were dry, The sand traps are compressed mud. The greens had quit a few dead spots. but they rolled pretty true.

The course is overplayed and neglected. The greens are really bad. Needs some TLC
