VERY SLOW PACE OF PLAY
This course is run by the members...Their golf carts were all over, so much so that we had to park in the parking lot ( 2 other groups as well) by the clubhouse at the turn to get a drink and use the restrooms. They have a dedicated parking lot that was empty..and we were not allowed to park there. We asked and were told that was for members only. To top it off we had a tee time....We stood in line to check and watch them tell 3 groups that didn't have a tee time that they were backed up and they could play if they wanted to... One was a group of 6 women members playing together each with their private cart....SMH. Why have a tee schedule if you are not going to follow it? Due to the VERY SLOW PACE OF PLAY, we were unable to finish. The cart guy came and told us we had to leave and to follow him back to the clubhouse. We could have at least finished the hole...it wasn't that dark out!!!
I staff inside Pam and Eric are amazing. Very friendly and Eric even gave us a few tips before teeing off.

Great executive course. Greens are a little thin right now, but pace of play was great. Will definitely be back soon.

Southport Springs, while a short course, can be somewhat challenging to the average golfer.....nice wide fairways for the most part...wtih smooth, slow greens. However, there are some holes that require a very precise shot off the tee ans these holes are fairly narrow.....overall, an enjoyable course to play and worth the drive from the Port Richey area.......

Properly priced for condition of course
A little rough but they’re trying to improve the course condition with lots of signs directing cars, etc..

Quirky but FUN
First few holes were in rougher shape, greens had weeds. Last 12 or so holes were excellent condition. Course is short but VERY tight in places. Lots of fun cutting the corners on doglegs if you can. Cart girl was fabulous for service..she went back to clubhouse to make us coffee and find me a cigarette. ( I left mine at home in a chair). She came back with 4 cigarettes to tide me over and found me a lighter too. They had great food at great prices as well. We will be back.

Ok course, rude residents
Course is ok at best. Greens are super slow and are a mix of Bermuda and weeds. Slowest greens iv played in last 5 years. Fairways and tee boxes are nice. Course is a shot makers course, short and narrow but a good layout. Staff was super friendly however the residents that live on the course are rude. 3 separate instances during the round in which resident interaction wasnt pleasant. No plans to play another round here.

Great value for the time if year
During this time of year in Florida, greens fees go through the roof. This course, at under $30, is a bargain. The course is short, a par 69 and under 5000 from the back tees, but it's fairly tight and was a fun course. It was a bit dried out with some bare patches on the fairways and on the small greens, but I have played worse and paid much more.
