Southport Springs has deteriorated
Not at all in as good of condition as it was 3-4 years ago when we first played it. Will look for a different weekend course to play in the future. Too bad as it was a decent little course to play. But, the hamburgers we purchased in the pro shop at the turn were great. Would go there to have the burger again but not necessarily to golf.
Thank you for your review we appreciate your opinion and you playing our golf course. Due to the lack of rain during this summer season, the course is a lot dryer than normal. Our ponds are empty, normally at this time of year they are full. Our maintenance
crew works hard everyday to maintain the course. We do have a lot of golfers who appreciate what they do. Sorry we did not meet your expectations.

Round of golf
The course had some green issues. Dry/dead spots on the side of the green. Fair ways was in good shape. The Play like excepted on Sunday folks that took their time but left after nine holes. So play picked up the next three holes. Not horrible. Three half hour round but weather was perfect no sun so, I really enjoyed it. Also, I was lucky the sprinklers were on but some only stayed in the ground. So, got to play around that without getting wet.

Good little course
There’s nothing negative to really say about this course. It’s well kept. There are a couple holes that are a bit too tight for my liking but the greens were in good shape. The only areas that needed help were the edges but it never came into play for us. Pace wasn’t perfect but only really had to wait 3-5 minutes on a few holes.

Slow
5 some ahead of us hitting multiple balls, couple with child around 5 years old ahead of them letting kid hit ball every 5 ft. Rangers solution is to let the us and another couple skip 2 holes. Not tell the others to pickup pace.

Quaint executive course
I played from the white tees, and the course was a fair test. Relatively easy, some holes were very tight from the tee. Some were tempting you to go for the greens on the shorter par fours. Laying up seemed like the better choice, trying for the correct wedge number into the green. Overall the course was in great condition, considering the amount of play it gets, being a public course. I will definitely play this course again!

Nice course
I enjoy playing at Southport. The pace of play was slower than usual but I still enjoyed myself. Some greens are being repaired.

Great but...
Always fun to play but, I'm 83 years old. 90 degree rule doesn't bother me but the long walks from the cart path to the tees and greens is a pain in the knees. Should allow handicap flags and positioning of those carts on the first cut nearer the tees and behind the greens. Other than that. We'll be back. Keep up the good work.

Good course
Course is in great shape. The only bad thing was pace of play was terrible and people had no etiquette to let faster better players play through.
