Links of Lake Bernadette
About
The Links of Lake Bernadette enjoys verdant landscaping and a rolling terrain that are perfectly complemented by mature and towering pines. At 6,400 yards, the golf course is seemingly short but it feels like it plays much longer due to frequent doglegs that can be found throughout. Six of the par 4s play over 400 yards and a few par 3s measure over 200 yards, which also helps the course feel longer. Water hazards and bunkers come into play but they are balanced by large greens and wide fairways that make for easier approaches. Although beginners won't feel out of place and there are four different sets of tees, the golf course boasts several tricky holes that will challenge even the best players. One of these, the 163-yard 13th, was once called the best par 3 in Tampa Bay.

Conditions Deteriorated since the Summer
Played this course half a dozen times this past summer.
The conditions have been getting worse lately.
Several holes are very soggy and wet - has not rained in our area in weeks - so they must be over watering. When your approach shots are plugging on the green - it may be too wet and soggy.
Bunkers are in sloppy conditions filled with foot prints and marks. In a couple of bunkers no one is raking since they do not have a rake around bunker - yet in a couple of holes there are two rakes by the bunker.
The greens really need to be cut. There are several holes where the grass on the green is really thick and makes putting inconsistent.
Conditions along with the recent increase in price (I realize this is a seasonal increase as the temperature improves), my group has decided to remove this course out of rotation.
Maybe if the above items are resolved we can consider coming back.
Good course!
I like playing here. Greens are in good shape Pace was great.
review
We always enjoy playing at the "Links"......the greens and fairways are in fine condition.....no issues.....however, sand wand water hazards come into play on certain holes.....could cause problems if you don't hit it straight. Looking forward to returning again someday soon....worth the hours drive from New Port Richey.
Overbooked
I have played this course many times and I enjoy playing here for the value. I had a 930 tee time and it took 2 hours 40 mins just to finish 9 holes.
We waited on every hole and the people in front of us were waiting as well. It wasn’t slow play it was overbooked. I actually got a raincheck for the back 9 since the back 9 was backed up as well. Very disappointing and I hope next time I play it isn’t the same.
Slow greens
Course was in good shape except for the greens. They were very, very slow.
Wow
This course used to be pretty nice but the last two years it has really went downhill. Weeds in fairways, greens as slow as I have ever played, course was so wet in places the ball plugs even on chip shots & it hasn’t rained!
Avid Golfer
The greens were like putting on a shagg carpet. Otherwise the course was ok, not terrible for the price.
Mow Your Greens Lower Please!
Very slow greens due to them not being cut low enough. There were fairways cut tighter then the greens,
Good value
Nice course for the money. Nice layout.
Greens are slow
Fun course
Course was good and fun and decent shape. Only bad things were greens need cut. Most of them it was like putting on carpet. The other thing was they had the sprinklers going while we were trying to chip and put on a few greens. Oh and no driving range to warm up. Otherwise a decent course for the money. But for Pete’s sake will someone put up a rules sign that says let fast players or single players play through.
Always a treat
We love this course. They are doing a fine job of upkeep. The price was right. Good value. The pace of play was 3 1/2 hrs for us which is great. And the food in the clubhouse was outstanding. God bless everyone
Much Improved and Great Value
I have refrained from playing this course the past couple years, although it is convenient and have family that live on the course, but course conditions have been suspect the past couple years. This is simply not the case any longer as it appears there have been great efforts to improve the course and I was pleasantly surprised. The best value going right now for under $25 a round. Great Job to all, look froward to playing again soon
Please Mow The Greens
Overall the course was in good shape with pace of play good too despite a number foursomes going out ahead of us that had 2/3 walkers within the group. Recent reviews by others commenting about the genes being slow and uncut were accurate. To be honest I’ve played on courses where the fairways were cut tighter than LLB’s greens. I suggest that you definitely spend time on the putting greens to get used to the speed. Once you get a feel for that the ball rolls pretty good and consistently but very slow.
