Links of Lake Bernadette

About
The Links of Lake Bernadette enjoys verdant landscaping and a rolling terrain that are perfectly complemented by mature and towering pines. At 6,400 yards, the golf course is seemingly short but it feels like it plays much longer due to frequent doglegs that can be found throughout. Six of the par 4s play over 400 yards and a few par 3s measure over 200 yards, which also helps the course feel longer. Water hazards and bunkers come into play but they are balanced by large greens and wide fairways that make for easier approaches. Although beginners won't feel out of place and there are four different sets of tees, the golf course boasts several tricky holes that will challenge even the best players. One of these, the 163-yard 13th, was once called the best par 3 in Tampa Bay.

Bernadette golf
This course is better than ever this year
I will play here on a regular basis
Not worth playing a second time
Tee boxes are all bad except for one, greens have weeds and bunkers are crap. Pace of play was terrible as had to wait on every hole. Not a pretty course at all and seems run down. Never played a par three before where you had no view of the green ! They have one! Definitely won’t come back.
Great value
In this season.
Of the snow birds coming lake.Bernadette is the greatest value in the area right now!
Could be good
The layout and fairways were the best features of the course. Most tee boxes were good but some were not flat. The fairways looked brown but were grass cover and good lies. The greens were different story. They held approach shots well, but the speed was as slow or slower than the fringes. The grass was long on the greens and that caused slow putts even downhill. They were almost impossible to putt as there were many bumps of grass and putts would go left or right depending on what it bumped not how the green breaks. I would return but would ask the green speeds before I came back.
Nice course, Great value
Course weathered the recent storms in pretty good shape.
Fairways are typically wide open; Greens fast and at times difficult to read-a miss can end up farther away from where you started!
Slow Saturday
The bad: it was a 5 hour round, played as a twosome and got thru 6 holes in an hour and then caught up to the slow players. Joined the twosome in front of us at 11 and had an enjoyable time.
The good: price for the course. Course conditions were B+. The check in was easy and very helpful (1st time playing here), the staff at the snack bar were friendly and the prices were right
Great shape so quickly after the hurricanes.
I’ve played this course many times and you just can’t beat it for the price. I noticed a lot of the trees and greenery had been thinned out by the Helene and Milton, but it came out mostly unscathed. I’m sure they’ve been a lot busier because other courses nearby look like they may never open again. The greens have definitely improved. They used to be super slow. I’ll be there again Saturday.
Better Now Than Ever
This course has significantly improved its condition and playability in the past year.
It has some challenges, however, they re fair.
Greens were FAST and putting a challenge.
Played on a Sunday morning and the course was packed. Still it moved along and made for a lazy Sunday morning.
Great time
It was after a tournament so I got to play for $12.18 holes and it was a great time. There was no one out there. I was able to practice some shots and I actually learned some things. I would recommend doing this again
