Links of Lake Bernadette

About
The Links of Lake Bernadette enjoys verdant landscaping and a rolling terrain that are perfectly complemented by mature and towering pines. At 6,400 yards, the golf course is seemingly short but it feels like it plays much longer due to frequent doglegs that can be found throughout. Six of the par 4s play over 400 yards and a few par 3s measure over 200 yards, which also helps the course feel longer. Water hazards and bunkers come into play but they are balanced by large greens and wide fairways that make for easier approaches. Although beginners won't feel out of place and there are four different sets of tees, the golf course boasts several tricky holes that will challenge even the best players. One of these, the 163-yard 13th, was once called the best par 3 in Tampa Bay.

Lake Bernadette Golf Course
Fun but challenging golf course. Would recommend to anyone to play. Great value as well. Some fairways we not cut to the same levels as others but for the price and pace of play , 3 hour round for 18 holes , would recommend and will come back
Rough shape but considering the recent hurricane it looks like they had focused on tee removal. Too wet to cut and mow, greens unputtable. We played in August and it was great shape. I’d give them a month or two to finish hurricane recovery
review
The Links of Lake Bernadette was in good condition; nice wide fairways and closely cut fast greens.....challenging even from the forward tees.....worth the drive from the Port Richey area......and very affordable even without the $10 discount from Golf Now.....
Storm
We played right after the storm the course was closed on the back nine it wasn't told on golf now so are rating wasn't the greatest
not a bad value
course was a little but not as bad as I have seen it in the past
Great value
Course is in excellent condition, ESPECIALLY after the two hurricanes that just passed.
Surprisingly dry after the storms.
Stay out the rough
I thought it was a challenge playing golf course today. The fairway was that and the rough made you pay. The greens were amazing.
It was great but the rain has made it muddy.
I love playing this course it's my third time being back. We've been having a lot of rain including a hurricane recently so everything was very wet obviously out of the keeper's control. The only issue was the players need to be reminded not to do donuts on the fairway when it's this wet. There were tracks that looked like someone was mud bogging and lost several balls when they sunk into the mud. Don't spoil this place it's one of the best in town and the staff doesn't deserve the extra headache.
The course was like a swamp.
Due to rain the day before, the course had puddles and was very spongy. Most shots were plugging into the ground and at many spots on the course I was up to my ankles in mud. No matter where you drove the cart, you were making deep ruts in the grass.
Good Value
Course is in great condition, especially given the rain we have been receiving for weeks and hurricane Helene just passing through the area.
As with most public courses in this area, the course could benefit from some grass seed in the fairways.
For whatever reason very few courses in this area plant new seed ???
Seen better days
I played this course in March and was in a lot better shape. Maybe it's due to wet weather recently but the fairways were very weedy and visually everything looked in horrible shape. I hope it finds better days. The staff was super friendly. The layout is tight, challenging and enjoyable. I hope the course finds better days.
Challenging Layout
The day we played, for whatever reason, the greens were not mowed and subsequently were terribly slow. My ball stopped once on about a 45 degree downslope. The course was rugged due to the recovery of torrential rains a week prior that had closed the course. Plenty of tracks from where carts went where carts shouldn't go. But, the price was good and we made it around. I figure the greens added 10 strokes, at least. I usually like the course.
