Tilden Park Golf Course

Due to bad air quality I call the course to cancel or reschedule I was told call golfnow when I call I was told due it on line I booked as a visitor I was unable to log and canceled when we have situation as very bad air quality I should have either canceled or reschedule by golf course they no help at all I alway book through golfnow very bad experience by not getting any assistance I did not go play today due to very bad air quality

The course is probably one of the most creative in the whole Bay Area, but even as one of the first groups of the day we clocked in with a five hour round, which is just far too long.

I also feel that the back nine should be the front nine and back nine should be flipped. The first two holes, the first of which is a par 4 uphill 400 plus hole, that plays like a par 5, followed by a dogleg left par 4 with a blind tee shot.

It is a tough opening stretch to get warm on while the back nine is much more forgiving. The course defends itself well despite not being long by today's standards. You have to hit it start, have good carry and shape shots to score.

The holes on this course are beautiful and it is a great course, I just have a hard time getting excited to play it with the very slow pace of play.

I recommend it, but just advise don't be in a rush.

It’s a beautiful course but they seem to overbook tee times. We started our round 10 minutes late, no marshals on the course, and pace of play slow. I don’t think I’ll play there again.

Way over booked pace of play is terrible I want to come back but won’t because it is too backed up all you do is stand around not fun

Two players in my group (including me) quit after 12 holes because it had already taken 4.5 hours. That’s almost a seven hour pace! Tilden is always a 5+ hour round, but 7? No thanks. Not recommended until they get serious about the pace.

1st time playing course, greens were in great condition! Even know the courses very busy the atmosphere was beautiful it was nice being in the Berkeley hills the drive up is Awesome!... It overlooks the Bay such a little fool view...

First time in 10 years I have walked off a course for slow play almost 5 hours to play 12 holes. No Marshall to keep pace up. Driving range is still garbage. Snack bar staff are slow and really could careless about service. This course is completely off the radar moving forward. Don’t ever remember seeing the number of people walking of course due to the pace of play.

There was a reason Tilden was dropped off my list of courses to play.

Anyone saying this is value works for the course.

Had a foursome in front of us who had no business being on a golf courses, they took 30 minutes per hole. Also had a similar foursome behind us hitting into us every other hole (no fore).

Last time played this course was over a year ago, Came back today and had a horrible experience. Decent layout and friendly staff. But the course is in horrible conditions! Water puddles on every hole, and apparently everyone that plays this course doesn’t believe in repairing their divots. Horrible and disappointed seeing this course in those conditions.

Tildennis a nice enough golf course with a decent layout, which is well maintained. However, BEWARE that if you make a reservation on Golf Now and all of your foursome does not show up, Tolden will have Golf Now charge your credit card for the entire amount of the tee time. I have been golfing for 35 years and never had to pay for a friend that did not show up.

This challenging course hidden way up in the Berkeley hills is a pleasure to play. Tight fairways great tees and green fairways have some bare spots but great shape. This course can put a hurting on you pars are doable birdies feel like eagles.

Teed off early. Great place to play when it is hot outside. The course is in good condition. A little wet do to fog good food as well. Good practice area with putting green, pitching area., and driving range

Course and greens were in very good condition . The pace of play was very slow. We had to wait on every hole for the twosome in front of us. The location is beautiful .

Finished just under 6 hours. 10th tee box was backed up for 30+ minutes. Men’s club was playing, which was a factor. No Marshall pushing people along. Worst golf experience thus far. Will not play again and I’m a local.

I came back after 5 years away, and it wasn't long before I remembered why I vowed never to play here again. It's a terrible course. The first two holes are garbage. The driving range is poor. I think if you're a high handicap golfer, a low handicap golfer, a first time golfer...there are so many better courses in the east bay. And the WORST part is the five and a half hour round...don't waste your time here.
