Tilden Park Golf Course

I fell in love with this place from the first tee. The views are awesome, the greens, fairway, tee boxes were all in great condition. Being that it's in the hills, the course has a few elevation changes during the round. Narrow fairways on some holes make you have to be straight on your tee shot to be in play. The layout was a bit confusing at times, maybe they can install better signage for direction to the next holes. The only thing that made this anywhere close to a bad trip was the guy that checked us in, Jim. I walk up to check in and he is on the phone, ok, no problem. I wait for him to acknowledge me and my group. When he does, first thing out of his mouth is "You're Late!"?? We were there 10 mins prior to our tee time, there was a group in front of us and one on the tee in front of them. So I dont know how we were late? No matter, I killed him with kindness and we continued on with our round. "Can't Wait" until the next time I play there again. A huge YES play this course to anyone that thinks about it. Oh yea, on TOP of everything else, the weather was PERFECT!!!

A hidden gem in the east bay! Great course! Nice people. Pace of play can be slow.

Nice fantastic view of San Francisco Bay on way to golf course,a must stop on way there or home.

The course is nice and in very good condition, but play is very slow on a Sunday. Week days are preferred to play this track

It's a fun course but the pace of play on weekends is soooooooo slow. Bring a grill and BBQ between holes, or a hammock for naps. Great for weekdays or twilight.

32$ i got a round of gold with cart. I also got breakfast and lunch and a drink included. Breakfast burrito and pulled pork sandwich. I would have spent more than 32$ on food in sf so that right there made it worth it. Course was in good shape. Short course but cool layout alot of undulation. Very peaceful out there. Greens in good shape. Great deal!

Course still pretty wet - not a good time to rate the course. Let too many groups do their own thing that really slowed down the pace of play - you need to tell slow groups to move on and not hold up everyone else. Not fair to force other players to play 5 hrs. + because they play slow and bet on every hole - totally unacceptable!

This is a course of last resort. The course is always in bad condition in the winter. When you can even get on, there are frost delays or swampy fairways. Nobody has ever repaired a ball mark on a green in the history of this course. The pro shop is awful. Allocate 30 minutes to check-in minimum.

I love this course. CA needs rain for sure, but Tilden was in much better shape than the other city courses I play regularly.

They are re-doing greens and bunkers on several holes - which will up the challenge a lot, actually.

You need to be accurate. There are a lot of balls in the bushes!

Nice course!! Greens are good ! Junior freindly ! But it was soooooooo slow . I had to quit after 14 holes

Start time was early 07:10 am my of October, you couldn't ask for better weather. The course looked green even with the drought. Overall the twosome we paired up with showed us the way so we were keeping pace for a four and half round.

Made it through 13 holes in 4.5 hours before we couldn't take it anymore. Staff was rude in the clubhouse.

I like this course as it is very well maintained, compared with other courses.

the thing I find funny about this course is how even during a drought it can be so ridiculously muddy,the day we played was clear but very windy even know your in a valley.It does have its own charm and some interesting holes,although I think how you start off with the #1 handicap hole is a bit funny and maybe even a bit nerve racking for some.I still had a fun time and I'm not sure if they overbook this course but my god it does play slow,given it was a Saturday its still hard to play good when you wait at almost every hole.But I will say its certainly not dry there.

Friendly front desk at check in. Would go back to get a better score from my first game at this course.

Beautiful golf course! One of my favorites over the past 23 years.

This is the third time I played this course within three months. I did not get to start until 45 minutes after my tee time the first time. As the result I only could play 9 holes as I got too dark. Plus the pace of play was terrible. Second time they told me I did not have a reservation from golfnow.com. luckily I had the email confirmation. I then had to wait 20 minutes adtern my tee time to start. It took 5.5hrs to finish 18 holes. Yesterday I tried again only to be told my tee time was 15 minutes later than what I booked through golfnow.com. I am done playing Tilden. It is unfortunate as I love the course.

The one major issue I have with this course is that the greens were just airated and were in poor condition for putting. It would have been great to know this and if I have know I would certainly not have booked it for $52 a person. Not a satisfying round. Thank you.

THere was no mention of aerated greens when booking this early tee time. At checkin we were told back nine aearated so have to play front 9 twice. At start of second round of front 9, Tilden goofed and OVERBOOKED and we had 4 groups in front of us waiting to START their round. KNowing that the front nine would be played twice, Tilden should have never over booked so the first groups could finish. Discouraged we left, PAYind for 18, but only able to PLAY 9

And it turned out to be over 5 Hours
Hard to give this beautiful course a bad review
Will be a long while before we come back here!
