My recommendations
My recommendations. 1.
It shouldn’t be that difficult to have a working ball washer on every hole. 2. Please repaint the 200, 150, and 100 yard markers. Many of them have faded badly.
Good job on the greens and the fairways are looking better than they used to.
Tilden never disappoints!
I’ve played Tilden a dozen times it’s always a great time, tight challenging course so scenic, fantastic layout and the greens were in beautiful shape! Just so far out of the way…. But a beautiful drive…. Can’t wait to play it again!
Great day at Tilden
Excellent pace for a beautiful Sunday afternoon. Never had to wait very long and was mainly playing golf instead of complaining about the group ahead.
Check in was easy and friendly. No attitude and made me feel like a regular. Prices at snack bar/cafe are very reasonable, tasty hot dogs.
My suggestions
Here are my recommendations: 1.Replace the ball washers.
2.Repaint the 200, 150 and 100 yard markers.
The greens and fairways are in better condition than they were a year ago.
Poor greens, slow service
The greens were like playing on plush carpet they were so slow. Felt like I would have been better off putting with my 5 wood. No phone on 9th tee to order food, an it took almost 20min to get a hot dog and Pepsi. After the round ended at about 4pm we were going to have a beer and sit down on the deck, but the whole thing was locked up. On a weekday I would understand, but not a holiday weekend.
No range to warm up
Great course design. First time on. Pace was slow. Greens were slow (need mowing). Need a range for warm up though…. The one person net for practice isn’t enough.
Golf and Nature at its best
Course has really improved in last year or two. Greens are in very good shape. Newly remodeled Pro shop. Improved dining amenities would really make this course. Abundant wildlife roam the course: Saw several Deer, cranes, many species of birds and even Wiley Coyote made a cameo(see photo) and other than the occasional “FORE!” All you hear is nature at its finest/birds in the background. Worth a play!
Really good affordable Bay Area course!
I always feel challenged and also comforted when I fold here! It’s hard and easy at the same time!
Pretty play in the redwoods.
Beautiful course but needs more signage ie direction to next hole/club house, distance to drop zones & holes. We found carts coming at us when teeing off so a bit confusing. Unfortunately we hit into forward group on a blind hole.
Loved playing in the redwoods.
Good Sunday Morning Golf
Nice scenic course. Only criticisms would be that they had no scorecards for the first groups going out at 7am. Also the restaurant was closed as well at lunch. Otherwise the golf was good and greens were in great condition.
First time playing here
This is one of the more challenging courses I have played in the Bay Area, awesome layout with a great mix of tight fairways and wide open let it rip fairways, I can’t wait to come back again
Interesting and fun course to play
The putting greens are way too slow. Need to be more consistent with most every other golf course greens speeds. The tee boxes were in deplorable condition. They need to be moved daily to avoid this. Everything else was fantastic.
