Blue skies golf Mother Nature style
Could not ask for a nicer day. Play Tilden when it’s like this you won’t complain. Greens healing and very nicely I should add. They will be good Thru the fall.
Turf grass conditions green and nice today with elevation changes. Walk this course! Watch weather as rain makes this course a little sloppy.
Not today…
What happened to this gem of a golf course?
We arrived and our Golf Now reservations for two made over a week ago, were not in their system and so they squeezed us in with a different group 40 minutes late. Then they charged us much more(46) than the rate we had through Golf Now(35). But that wasn't the worst of it. The bathroom was absolutely disgusting. Filthy with garbage all over the floors spilling outside the bathroom area. It honestly looked like the toilets had not been cleaned in over 2 months, that's right months. There was a thick brownish dust on the men's urinals. It smelled bad. Some dad sent his 6 year old son into the bathroom by himself and I was terrified that the kid would touch something and get sick. I steered him toward the sink to wash his hands. Really gross. What happened? this place used to be so nice.
Golf at Tilden
I shot my lowest round ever at Tilden at age seventy and I've been playing for almost 60 years. It seems to me that the course was in better condition since when I played it two years ago.
Challenging and beautiful course!
Read the undulations because it is easy to lose a ball even if you land in the fairway. Know your stock yardages and have a great time. This course is absolutely gorgeous.
Usuall foggy morning
Greens are true s and in good shape with many challenging approaches and some tight tee boxes among the pines and redwoods make this course a rough day for a beginner.
Nice old school golf course
Course is very good shape, pace of play was good. Only slight complaint, on several occasions carts would just die , had to turn power off then turn the key back to forward. We spent a few minutes figuring this out. Happened several times.
Foggy but fun
Beautiful course, cool in the trees, felt I was on top of other players as the holes were smashed together in spots but the trees help to give a little separation.
