Course in good shape
Course in good shape greens are in excellent condition .
Great Course
I played this course on a Monday morning. The course of play was great! It was a great course for the money. For $32 we got 18 holes, a cart and a free lunch, can't beat that! I did hear from the group we where with that on the weekends the pace of play is very slow so avoid the weekends. Half the people on the course where walking, so that can slow the pace down as well. The greens were in great shape as was the tee box. Great experience!
Little slow but played OK
Slow came from "walking fivesomes" they let out early. Fairways and greens in good shape. Very little reminders of airiation from about 1 month ago.
Best of all, we had fun!
Awesome Course/Service
Best of the best--recommend to all--very courteous and professional staff-- breakfast burrito was great.. having water provided during the round was awesome...
Five hour fifteen minute round on a Wednesday morning.
If you're not a fivesome be prepared to be stuck behind one. You'll need lots of patience.
Father doesn't know best
We were a twosome paired with a threesome, of which 2 were a father and son (12yr.)
Father insisted his 12 yr. old tee off from the blue tees as the rest of the men. The kid took 4-6 strokes to reach every green, occasionally losing a ball off the tee. It was excruciating to play with these guys and kid. It ruined my game and my partners game, No rhythm at all. Finally a marshal noticed we were dragging along and separated us into a 3 - 2 group after the 11th hole but by then the round was ruined.
Better then I thought...
Course was good. Greens were lighting fast and bumpy. Good rate of play. I'd play here again.
bunker is funny
bunker is a lot but not soft.
fairway has lot a devok.
Decent Challenge
This course is great for intermediate and advanced golfers. The course offers very challenging dog lefts and rights. The kicker on the course is there are some holes on hills. You will see some holes with blind landing areas, so expect a challenge. Fairways and greens are in great condition. The greens hold up really well in the heat. A good challenge for any golfer.
Home course
It is always fun to go play the course that you played growing up as a kid.
they over sell course
Too many 5 somes and too many walking. Takes 6 hrs to play 18 holes.
Bad & Ugly
I haven't played this course in 10 yrs or so...I was so disappointed! The fairways had dirt patches, just ugly as it gets! If ya misses the fairway dirt patches in the rough. It seem like the bunkers had a mix of dirt and sand in em'! This course is a hunk of junk! The greens were nice that was the only plus! I don't know how many different patches of grass are growing...weeds growing everywhere ! If anybody rates this course any good they have never played a decent course in there life! If this is all you can afford then you'll have to make the best of it. But it's one of the worst courses I've ever played! Just ugly! Playing here again will never happen! Yikes!
Never go on Weekends
Never try to go to this course on weekends.
We booked for three players riding but the pro shop added two walkers of which made the whole play almost 6 hours.
We have complained to the pro shop but they just answer that they have followed the State Regulations allowing up to 6 people play.
Our previous team 4people were forced to add one more walker either and they complained to the pro shop either but in vain.
They just do care collecting max. money and never care about the players' feeling and do not care satisfaction..
Just avoid weekends..not to be in same issues with us.
The course you shouldn't play at.
The only way to have a successful golf course is if you are willing to evolve. This golf course does not. They refuse to change anything. When many golf courses in the surrounding areas are enforcing pace of play, telling players to fix their marks, and not letting 5-somes out; Diamond Bar does the opposite. They let out 5-somes all throughout the day which includes their busiest times. Why on earth would you ever let 5 walking seniors out if its busy? Don't come here expecting to play a decent round because slow play is disastrous here. I've been coming here 10 years and the course conditions were the only reason I came back. But the greens look like some par 3 course right now. Pitch marks that are so bad it can't be repaired unless you close it off for a while. You can't putt or even think straight when you have craters the size of Texas on your line. It seems like no one their is on the same page. I saw a marshal arguing with someone who worked in the pro shop about what time they were supposed to let out seniors. The marshal was 100% correct, but the person in the pro shop was so convinced he was right. It was sad really. How do you not know these basic things if you work at a golf course? This course is fine if you want to play a casual round once a month. But that's all this course is. This is not a place where you can be proud of playing twice a week. All my friends hate this course, and now I know why. There are some very nice people though. Well mainly the guys who work in the bar and maintenance. Everyone else might think they are coming off as professional, but it's really a sign of laziness. They have nothing to be proud of until that course is in good shape and making sure you don't have 5 and a half hour rounds.
The course you shouldn't play at.
I have been a dedicated customer here for over a decade. Today, I have had enough. The pace of play is horrific unless you play in the middle of the afternoon on a weekday. You can't play here in ideal golf weather because there on seniors who are walking this course. I mean, walking everywhere. You would think the marshals would let people play through, or tell them to play the forward tees, but no. Nothing like that. Can't really blame the marshals though, the management seems to okay with letting 5-somes with 30 handicaps trot around. I have usually played here because of their decent greens, but not anymore. It seems like none of the usual players there will fix their pitch marks or divots. It's sad really. If the course let players know to fix their marks, they wouldnt have a problem this bad. Don't even think about playing here early in the morning. The marshals and pro shop can't mutually agree when to let seniors with their cards out. This course lacks communication, and definitely not worth $40 on a weekday, or $49.50 on weekends. Play somewhere else. This course lacks communication and seems like no one is on the same page. Save your money, go to San Dimas Canyon, or even Royal Vista. Because those terrible courses are better than Diamond Bar. The only good thing about the place is the nice bartenders.
great condition
Course was in great shape. Only negative was some of the traps were like hard pan. Seemed to be packed down dirt rather than sand. Other than that the course was really nice.
Awesome minus the Heat
Always saw this place off the freeway. Got there on time. Had to wait a min or so cause a lot of folks put together not spaced out enough. But I had such a great time. The course is wide and open. Will be there again. Only thing is . the tees and greens can be a little more better. A lot of fire ants everywhere! =)
