The Golf Club at Rancho California

I'm 74 years old and can't boom out 2oo+ yd, drives any more and their "senior" tees are only moved forward on 6 holes.I have complained to them for a couple of years, but it seems to fall on deaf ears!!

Staff IS NOT THE FRIENDLIEST GROIP IN THE WIELD STARTING WITH THE STARTEE AND DINISHING WITHE GUY THAT RUNS YOU OUT OF THE COURSE AT 7:30 pm. No matter which HOLE you are at. They even take the flags out so you can't see the hole position. There is no comparison the shape the course is no as to when used to belong to USGA. New management should spend some money to improve it

The course is in average shape. I think it’s priced to high for its conditions. We tried to buy into the deal but was told by the owner it was too late. 27.00 would be a fair price for this course. I would think the more memberships you sell the more money you would have to put into the course. Just sayin.

I have always enjoyed this course.

Always good conditions on the course, everyone is friendly from the clubhouse to the grill, the starter, to the cart barn employees

Super disappointed on how down hill the quality of this course has gone. No green tee boxes, dead grass and dirt everywhere. The only redeeming feature was the greens. Outside of that, I can’t say I’ll be coming back. Used to be an excellent course. Now it’s not worth more than $20 a round.

Tee time was 9:53, teed off at 10:35, behind a group of 5 with 3 kids. Round took 5.5 hours - no Marshall keeping pace, greens in poor condition, fairways ripped up. Ordered a turkey club, forgot the bacon, asked for bacon, waited 10 minutes and got extra French fries and no bacon. This place used to be a great course, but you can tell the owners have let it go downhill. Should be charging $25 max for course conditions, pace of play, and service. Won’t be playing here again.

Like the course, have played it many times.

Lately it seems they are booking way too many t times closely together with no marshal to speed up play. 6 hour round is not fun.

Great design! Robert Trent Jones doesn’t disappoint! It’s a tremendous value! You won’t be disappointed!

If the course was just in a little bit better shape, this would be an awesome course! The layout is spectacular, the design is incredible, it just needs to be kept in better shape!

Tee time notes "play early, play fast" We were first group out & cruising until we came upon a group on #14. Turns out they let folks out in the back for a "quick nine" They were anything but quick as we waited a lengthy time for EVERY SHOT & completely ruined the round. I won't be going back if this is how they run the tees. Course management doesn't seem to understand that one slow group early on affects the while rest of their day. I purposely book the earliest tee time to avoid this situation. Shame on you!

Booked today’s round thru the Hot Deal and honestly that was the fair price for the conditions at this course currently. The Staff inside the Pro Shop & Snack Bar were super friendly and didn’t mind sharing laughs, however the gentlemen who was checking tickets and acting as the starter needs a little attitude adjustment, I asked him a simple question to which it seemed I had annoyed him and I was completely beneath him. Course is in semi rough shape around fairways & tee boxes, greens in good shape cut a tad slow but look nice. Water areas have filled up with lots of algae which doesn’t smell great playing on certain holes.

Bunkers played very nice soft true sand inside of them. Bottom line this is one of my favorite courses around Southern California & I hope it will get a little better soon.

The course layout is fun to play. Greens are in good shape. Fairways are ok. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Beer is cold and the food is made fresh. All around nice play to go play golf.

I have played this many times over the years, I still do because of the layout and the rating is a bit higher so it helps my handicap when I do shoot a good score. I will say it is not as nice overall as it used to but simply average conditions. I also wish they would keep the range open longer. They sell the last bucket around 4 and there is a lot of daylight left during the summer to practice. There is a really nice practice area across from the club house...it’s kind of hidden. I’ll keep coming back but hope to see improvements.

Why are you letting out 5 somes?! We were stuck behind 2 5 somes and it took over 3 hours for the front 9 and just under 6 hours for the 18. No Marshall ANYWHERE TO BE FOUND! The shotgun start for the men's club doesn't work either. Tee times that follow the men's club off of the 1st tee need to have a bigger gap. We've had to wait for 2-3 foursomes to go through and we've been delayed for close to 30 minutes each time. They need to have at least 1 Marshall circling the course but 2 would be perfect, one for each 9.

I enjoyed playing at your course however, I’m not happy with the bathrooms. They need attention.

Course was in very nice condition, greens a little slow, but putted fair, nice to see a local course like this not price gouging during these times, will play here more often, a few courses in this area should be ashamed for what they are extorting from players, keep up the good work, drive safely, CGG...

I’m a 17 handicap and I love the layout , greens were in excellent shape. Only one complaint - the group lost 4 balls within 5 - 10 yards of the greens. The rough was at least 6 inches deep in many places. I like a challenge but it’s not the US Open. Otherwise, highly recommend this course.

Played here last week with three buddies of mine. Course was in good shape and we'll play again when in the area. I would say pretty much 5-Stars all around except for the guy working the pro shop. He was pretty rude and unprofessional...seemed like he was having a REALLY bad day and hated his job. However, in spite of his poor attitude, I'd play again if in the area as I do enjoy the course and it is a very good value.
