Shandin Hills Golf Club

Good weather, a bit breezy, but tolerable. Early winter conditions, some patchy areas, but not awful. Nice elevation changes and hole movement.

My biggest issue with this course is its proximity to the freeway. The noise was almost deafening, loud enough at times to where one had to yell to your playing partner, at times in very close proximity. The noise was so loud it was off-putting, and made it hard to concentrate , what with trucks and 3000 + vehicles an hour going up the I-15. If there was a noise reducing wall along the freeway on the front 9 it would make quite a difference, at least in my non-engineer thoughts.

Other than the all-pervasive noise, it was an enjoyable day, with the exception of having to keep a close eye one ones ball where multiple fairways come together. We had to discourage several groups from grabbing our balls, an de after a booming drive on 18, that should have been within 80 yes from the green, we were unable to find my tee shot and were left to conclude that a group on a hole behind us took it off the fairway where it comes in conjunction to the cart path that crosses the fairway.

Would play again, but the noise detracts from the quality of the experience, and would choose a quieter course if the option presented its lf

Played on a Friday morning and got done in 3.5 hours. This isn’t the most pristine course but it’s playable. Everything was decent as far as the course goes. The value here is what would bring me back. I got a small bucket of balls for the range, played 18, got a sandwich and a drink, left a $5 tip and walked out of there spending less than $60. I only played here because all the other “nice” courses were booked for early tee times. I’ll come back for sure.

Like most courses in November it’s a little ruff and the fairways are sparse. Tee boxes are terrible, always on an angle and never any grass. Greens were decent and break towards the mountain. Overall course rating is a 4-5 out of 10

I rated them a 1 star due to no golf carts. I arrived 45 minutes before my schedule tee time and was told that they had ran out of carts but assured that we would have one. As my tee time approached still no golf cart and to find out there were several folks with earlier tee times still waiting for a cart. I asked what the hold up was and the reply was to many folks on the course as to why they had no carts available. This is poor scheduling on there part and will not be going back anytime. There were others that said this is starting to become a norm there.

This course remains a good value for the money but maintenance of the tee boxes and some fairways could have been better.

Hadn't played here in awhile. Course is in lousy shape. Dirt for tee boxes and poor fairway conditions.

Don't be hesitant to book a tee time because of the city or price, I had a surprisingly great round here for $20 with a cart!!! pace of play was slower than usual a little overbooked with walkers and the greens weren't good because of the heavy traffic but the course layout was very fun a few high tee boxes and long par 4's. Fun course will come again soon.

Great round friendly staff great fairways awesome greens. Love this place and as always great prices. Will be back.
