Shandin Hills Golf Club

They are really good to junior golfers so they should be commended for that. Their staff is great too. However... Slow play is a killer. 4.25hrs to play 14 holes (and then we gave up) is unacceptable. Not a marshall to be found. Course conditions were pretty terrible too. Shag carpet greens where they hadn't lost them entirely in spots after their latest punch and sanding. Then there is the atmosphere... Right beside a major interstate and major railway. Ears are ringing still and my lungs have been scared I am sure. Just no reason to play here other than great staff and them being great to juniors.

The greens were atrocious. I wouldn’t even call them greens, they were more like beaches. Most of the putting area was dirt which made it difficult to even attempt to sink a putt. I realize this is due to the sodding and maintenance, but to not even mention it or offer a discount prior to playing the course is a bit disappointing.

Great round of Golf peaceful relaxing had a great time.

Have played here many times... always a good value, and a challenge... tee boxes need some work, but the issue is that this time, we were not told that the greens had been punched and sanded the day prior to us playing..... important to let players know this when making a tee time....

Aside from the dry lakes, the course layout is great

The greens were not nearly as well maintained as they have been in the past. The pins were not well set on several holes, there was a crest around them, not allowing the greens to dictate a put.

I dont know where to begin. Driving Dirt Range how can you not grow grass in a place where there is little traffic. Ants attacking you everywhere on this property crawling on shoes, your clubs, etc. The Greens chewed up bad. I had to call pro shop we played 5 holes where there was 4 to 5 groups on the hole 3 waiting on the box, and 1 on green and fairway just straight stupid. The course could actually be a nice place to play if they honestly just did a Hard reset close the course for 2 weeks water and seed the place and cut grass etc. I know its money and a business but dont you want your product your putting out for consumers to be nice. I know more people would visit your location if you put a better product forward.

This course needs to keep up with its maintenance. The green is so rough and a lot of ball marks that make putting very unpredictable. Rough along the fairway are overdue for mowing.

However the staff is very friendly and the green fee includes half a sandwich or a hot dog and even comes with a soda.

Course was in pretty good shape for the time of year. Fairways were good, tee boxes were a bit beat up but not too bad. The greens however are a different story. They seem to have aome type of fungus around the edges. This should be addressed asap or there will be no greens soon. Other than that... love Shandin.

The overall experience wasn't bad. The course has a nice layout and presents some challenges with the hole placements. The greens were in very poor shape.

I just played this course about three weeks ago and the greens were great. Now they are in terrible shape. What the heck happened to them so quickly. The maintenance staff needs to work on the greens. Totally unacceptable condition for the greens
