Golfer Reviews
Excellent greens fairways are dead though.
Fairways need love and the course would be pretty nice.. greens are plush wish they would show the same love for the fairways.
rough
the course is in very rough condition. A good drive down the middle is rewarded with sitting in the dirt or a very tight lie with little or no grass. Fairways are hard as a rock.
No sand in bunkers. And over 5hrs to play
Good for the price
For practice and honing your golf skills, this is the place
Best Bang 4 Buck
Played Monday morning and the course was not stacked. Greens were fast and in great shape. Fairways were not all green but it’s winter and we’re still in a drought. Overall, fun round of golf. Finished in under 4 hours. It’s good to see they were clearing a lot of dead or over grown trees on the perimeter of the course. Price of play has increased a few dollars since San Bernardino Golf course closed last week making this the only show in town besides Sierra Lakes.
Great greens fairways so so.
Dexnt for the price.. play could be faster though.
Great Greens
Fairways still a little rough but the greens were in great shape. Fast and true. Pace of play was due to our own miscues and nothing due to the course.
Fairways Too Dry!
This has been my home golf course for years, but it was drier than usual. Even though the greens were in excellent shape, the fairways and the bunkers could use a little upkeep.
Holiday Weekend
I play Shandin often but hadn’t played the course in about 2months. Forgot it was a holiday weekend when I booked.Staff was great getting me out before a group of 20. I was surprised at the condition of the course but taking into account the recent high winds and fire which reached portions of the course. My only grip is the course was seriously over booked. 3 hours to play the front 9. I understand the need to make a profit, but it’s at everyone’s expense. The grill attendant was seriously outpaced by the demand, every cart was in use and not being recharged after a round. My cart barely made in through 9. My last issue is; there should be someone enforcing the dress code. I saw guys in work boots, leather dress shoes, Tee shirts, and everything in between. Again, staff was great but swamped with the amount of bookings. It seemed to be the day all those that never play or play once a year came out! Still a great place to play when not crowded
Dry,Dry,Dry..
This course has never been this bad in all the years we have been playing it,what grass there was ,was brown and dry. The all inclusive food deal is a joke,we finished an hour before dark and they were closed.Never, ever again!!!
Never Again
First time in area, first course played. This is the worst course I have ever played by far ! Staff was rude, patrons were ruder! Group behind us kept hitting into us so we let them play through, the next group did the same. We felt we were in a nascar race! It seems the men’s club group have priority over anyone on the course, or at least they think the do, most holes we didn’t.t even complete our play, group behind us drove up to us & I was yelled at, insulted, along with my wife because she hit the ball 3 times on one of the par 4 fairways, reported to the person in charge when we completed our play & he seemed unconcerned! DON’t play this course no matter what the charge is !,,’
All about the "All Inclusive"
Play here often. Enjoy this course. It's fairly priced for what the course has to offer conditions/upkeep wise. The All Inclusive deal makes it well worth it. You get all the range balls you want, all the breakfast and all the lunch (selected menu). Soda and coffee too!!!!! I do believe free replay too. Not sure on that one though. The front 9 is tougher than the back. Blame the wind. The course was really dry, with some thin fairways. Greens in pretty descent shape...fast!!!! And a fire did break out on the adjacent bush bordering the course and hill side. All in all. Good value.
Shandong Hills Golf club
It's sad how this course has deteirated everything from the front desk personal to out on the course. I used to play and practice at this course back in the 90's. It was one the very best public golf facilities in the Inland Empire.. I hope that they get it together and restore this course back to what it once was.
More dirt than grass
Course is in horrible shape. There is more dirt than grass. The greens are the only thing that look kept up at all. I hadn’t golfed here in years and now I remember why.
Ugliest course I've ever played
I'm not a great golfer so I look for deals each time I play. I go more so to relax and enjoy the beauty of the golf course. So far, I have to say that his was the ugliest course I've ever played at; ugly enough to want to write this review. On the back nine you have the freeway on one side and a train track on the other. The surrounding hills look like it recently caught on fire. Lots of bunkers protecting the holes. The greens have divots and debris everywhere. The worse part was probably the fairways which was composed of primarily dead grass and gravel. Imagine hitting the perfect drive down the center fairway only to have to hit your second shot off of gravel. Horrible course right next to the 210 freeway. Was informed during my play that someone had hit a ball onto the highway and cracked a windshield. Not only is this an ugly course in my opinion but it's a danger to the public. Men's bathroom was also out of order by the pro shop. Got a hotdeal on GolfNow for $19.99 but would never come here again.
