Great deal for the price
Absolutely great deal for the price. $28 Monday-Friday. Unlimited range balls, plus 18 holes and then more if you want !!!! Food and drink (coffee, soda) included in price. Breakfast and lunch menu is pretty good for the price. Great deal !!! Went twice in a week !!!!
Hidden gem
Great price for a surprisingly nice course. Greens were well kept, and is challenging enough for all levels but not too overwhelming for beginners. One hole was gorgeous where the tee was set on a hillside that overlooked the whole course. Looked beautiful in the early morning. My wife and I will definitely play this course again
Ankle biters
I've played this course several times and for the money it's a nice course but could be a lot better. Bunkers are horrible. Two of us almost snapped our ankles by walking gopher holes at least a foot deep near the edge of the greens. After the round I went to the hospital were they said I had a severe sprain. There are to many dead spots still bit the course is better. Your maintenance workers need a little lesson in golf manners. All in all any day golfing is a better day than in the office. Keep improving the course.
Watch for all you can play advertisement
Played this course on wed behid a mens league weekly for the past month and while pace of play is slow it was worth paying the extra fees to upgrade to the ALL YOU CAN PLAY all day golf. Took 5 1/2 hours to complete 1 round and when i started my seo d was informed that i could not as there were 2 league starts at 5....WHY WOULD THIS CLUB ACCEPT FEES KNOWING THEY COULD NOT PROVIDE ONE WITH what they promised in print!! No refunds discounts apology or caring attitude was offered. POOR WAY TO MANAGE your day to days...STEP IT UP GUYS
Not bad for the money
Played here after work. $21 with a cart. So in SoCal you can't expect much. The greens are soft, but they roll pretty good. They roll at about 10. Probably the best $21 greens I've played. The greens almost make up for the rest of the course. You get some terrible lies in the fairway and good luck in the rough. Oh and for $7 more you can play all day, get unlimited balls and food...
Well kept
First time at this course. Was impressed with the greens and how well they're kept. Generally pretty well kept overall. Course is long, had a lot of par 5s. Definitely would come again.
Great Value
This course is great for the price. They have a play all day rate and I was able to get in 36 as a single starting at 2:30. The greens haven't fully healed from aerating, but another week or two and they should be good. Relatively short course and very straight forward on a majority of holes. 6-9 on the front was the only stretch that stood out to me, and the par 3 15th was a nice design.
The Standing hills experience
Let me just start from the beginning..Customer service nonexistent from the gentleman working behind the counter to the lady working in the snack bar. Believe when I say this they are not a fan of Golf Now....when I them we booked our tee time with you guys customer service went straight out the window. No not a fan nor would I recommend this place to any of my friends.
Great greens.
The greens were great but the fairways were extremely hard, the bunkers could be raked but all in all great day of golf at a great price.
Not worth the drive to get there.
Staff and layout were great. Course was extremely disappointing. Greens were lightning which I like but cut too fast to keep the ball on them from both uphill and downhill. Fairways were the worst I've played in Southern Cal.
Overbooked
I enjoy playing Shandin Hills, but they were way overbooked. 3.25 hours to play 12 holes. Had to leave before finishing, for the 50 mile commute over the Cajon Pass back home.
Slow play
Course was nice, staff was great, but play was slow
Overbooked
I arrived at 11:00 AM for an 11:30 tee time. I was told no carts were available and there was at least a 45 minute delay. I had prepaid a Hot Deal for a friend and me, but we left anyway. Clearly we weren't getting out until well after 12:00 and were guaranteed slow play. We went to Waterman and got right out. Had a great time.
Shannon Hills has gone from ridiculously over priced to an overbooked nightmare. Look elsewhere until management gets it figured out.
Veterans Day
I am afraid they just overbooked... no carts, they were an hour behind schedule! An hour but our T time 1130 went out at 1! Than the slowest play, and on top of that people would just cut in front of you (and their was no where to go... ) by the time you hit you were stiff couldn't get any rhythm going, completed 14 holes... before it was too dark
Fun day
we never had to wait once and the greens rolled true
Slow pace
My tee time was 11:38 am. Did not start playing until 1:pm. Did not finish 18 holes.
over booked as usual
I have not played the course for 8 years. It always had a reputation for over booking. and slow play. No marshals to keep the pace going. Greens were in great shape. Fast, and the ball rolled true.
