Sandi-dimas
Good value for the money, COVID-19 just makes everything not very enjoyable.
Good course with many unique holes
Another gorgeous day of golf. Course overall has in above average shape, little dry and greens were a little hard in my opinion. Loved the layout of holes weaving through the Valley between several ponds. First time here so I thought some holes were just brutal with a sliver of area to land your drive to even a chance at an approach shot. It also has very well placed trees to keep on game to go over around them. Staff were curious but strict in enforcing in rules in these times and was very happy with seeing the course ambassador out patrolling, keeping people driving cart to close/on the greens, that's what he told us. Pace of play could be better if they would have paired up a few of the twosomes or if the would have joined together.
Good time
enjoyed tge round at San Dimas. The greens were in great shape and the fairways were decent. The pace of played was consistent and we finished in 4.5 hours. I'll definitely be back.
Outstanding Pace of Play
Sandy is always a great course to play. The price is still high as always but that's American Golf. Still a great place to play.
Nice course
Nice layout. Driving range and putting greens closed. Good greens, run true. Overall good course for $50.
Nice course, poor hygiene
The course itself is in very good condition. Well grasses and trimmed fairways, well cared-for greens that roll true, moderately fast with a little slope.
My complaint centers around the level of hygiene. Marshals and on-course workers not wearing masks. Gatherings of unmasked golfers outside the pro shop, talking close together and enjoying a “19th hole”, like old times.
To their credit, the pro shop was adequately social distanced and the check-in process felt safe. We were assured that carts are fully wiped down before each use.
Carts
An additional $15 to ride instead of walking is a little steep but I understand due to the pandemic however... the carts are in bad shape. My buddies straps to hold his bag were broken, my carts monitor was not working and the third rider didn’t even have a screen... just the cables.
I played long ago on this course and it’s a very nice place to play but, the carts need to be updated or better maintained if we’re being charged a premium price to ride.
Cart fees...$60...Huh?
I have played this course a dozen times or more. It has always been a great golf outing. But not this time! We checked in, the kid at the the shop was rude and basically lied to us. Said the cart fees had always been $60 per foursome. I’d never paid that much and was not happy. We weren’t gonna let it ruin our day though. Pace was average until the 14 hole when our carts started to die. We repeatedly called for replacements. No sign of life! We creeped through until the 18 where both carts died. We gathered our bags and walked the uphill 18th! Again... $60 for dying and dead carts! Ya...that ruined the day!
Good challenging course
Course conditions where great. Challenging but fun
In lieu of the covid-19 I think their should have been a little more spacing between tee times . I was placed with another single person and their was quite a few foursome in front of us and we caught up to them . Mind you not all play fast some were taking their sweet time practicing their swing shot before hitting their balls . It was a beautiful day to be out and out of the house . I haven't played this course in 15 years . Trees were more grown up and got in the way of my shots
Golf cart rate is a joke
I have played all over the state and this is the first course where they charge you $15.00 per person.
Since COVID-19 Me and my son have ben getting the second cart for free, but here they charge you one way or the other.
Price Gouging During Pandemic
Staff insists $49 is walking rate, and there is a $15 cart sur charge. I use to play this course often about 8 or 10 years ago and it wasnt.
Patrons are high handicappers and I have not played a noisier course in the last 500 rounds. No etiquette.
Layout is narrow, and with these patrons there is a high chance of getting hit, and they dont yell "fore".
Promise myswlf not to ever play it again. You should too.
