Horrendous pace of play
Love San Dimas Canyon, but today was unacceptable. 7 and a half hour pace of play. Took 2 and a half hours to play 6 holes. 4 to 5 groups on each hole. Walked off the course after 6 because in no universe should a round of golf take that long. San Dimas is usually slower than most, but consistently 4.5-5 hours on weekends. Course management not on site to handle the situation. Just poor management and no accommodations for the absurd pace.
6 hour round
6 hours to play waited 15 minutes at almost every hole
Pace of play
Need Marshall's to move things along.
5 hour pace of play
Group of 5 ahead of us and called clubhouse but nothing was done about it.
Every hole is challenging...
But par3? Wow!!! 3 or 4 group waiting to get turn
Took 30 minute. Ridiculous..
Nice greens
First time playing here... Very forgiving greens only lost three balls 😬. Definitely coming back again. Tom was great at getting us our cart quickly and got us started with a few minutes to spare.
Long and narrow
Course layout is efficient given the landscape and area. Fairly easy to find your ball on an adjacent fairway with wayward tee shots. Most of the fairways are narrow and the greens can be small, creating a some nice target golf. Long par 4's make the blue tees challenging without being unfair.
Starter Chang was great!
Best feature was Chang the starter. Very nice guy. The course was okay. Pace of play was poor. Tee boxes are in very poor condition. Greens are in decent shape.
friendliness
staff friendliness is execellent
except one starter(maybe morning am-noon) looks like retired volunteer.
I feel some discrimination
age,gender,language,race etc.
checking one more time , if it happens again I will go my way
including recording his voice
One of the best kept courses around
def a well kept place .. beautiful views and super fast greens … pace of play my only low
score here .. was a lil packed … but always fun and great playing here
Great layout, poor tee time management
Understandably a Sunday round is going to be on the slower side however I feel like this place always gets overbooked. I like this course but the pace of play is an issue.
Side note: How do you close the kitchen on a Sunday afternoon at 130pm?? A really rough look specially when people are teeing off around or before lunch time and looking to get food on the turn.
