The Reserve at Spanos Park

Greens are rougher than ever before, and course was sloppy wet on an August afternoon. Love the layout, but not planning to return for quite some time.

Pace of play was the slowest I have in countered in Sacramento/Stockton area. There was a high school girl match and no body said anything to us at check in. We didn't get to finish round!!!! Not good!!

The rough around the greens was much to high. You could lose the ball in it.

The course was in good condition, we had a little breeze which kept the temperature more bearable and defended the course. The greens were soft and little bumpy - my only complaint, I had about 3 putts knocked off my line that were probably going in the hole.

Tough rough. Fairways and greens in good condition.

Its not in the conditions that when American golf managed it a couple years ago, but it was also twice the price on a Friday, $31 vs $62 then...Great staff, great bar/lunch bfast area. I'll go back no problem..Very challenging, and can get windy. you'll go thru a sleeve of balls if you're a bogey player..

Pros: Course is generally always in excellent condition. 2 sided grass driving range.

Cons: Greens were thicker then normal and played slow but I think they did that to prevent them burning as it was near or over 100 degrees.

I really liked the course layout and the staff at the Reserve, but some players (most likely members) were not friendly at all.

I feel this course was a great deal for the money.Everyone in my foursome ,enjoyed playing here.I'm playing here again on Thursday. It was worth the 45 minute drive.

Was disappointed with the condition of the bunkers, both fairway but especially greenside. More sand is NEEDED and they weren't groomed. Large pebbles were found, some were very wet (poor watering layout).

This is a great course, but the bunkers need to be maintained OR just take out the fairway bunkers and focus maintenance on the greenside bunkers (buy sand and condition them often).

Best course in our area. Great value. Challenging but fun.

Course was fun to play, challenging , fast green, and interesting layout. Staff very friendly. Downside was 5 hour round with waiting on every hole.

Played on a breezy Spring day. Course is in great shape. The rough is very lush due to rainy spring. Fairways and gteens are great. Even though the course has a lot of water, there are no forced carries over water. The only fault was inconsistency in bunkers. Some were hard with little sand, some were filled with lots of fluffy sand.

Great layout, great greens, very good value.

Honestly this course is well taken care of and worth the drive

Only improvement could be made in cutting the rough down next to the greens and just off the faiway... rough averaged more than 4 inches deep and was like US Open rough.. The rest of the course condition was superb....
