It was a great day to play. The course was okay ,the greens need some work and the pace of play was slow.

Fairways were in good shape but some of the greens were in rough condition. Biggest problem was pace of play--took 4 1/2 hours to play 18--I do not enjoy that slow pace of play.

Have always loved this course and the GolfNow price was excellent. However, the greens were in the worst shape that I've ever seen them there. Not sure if it's disease, or what. They may be trying to rehab the greens, as it seemed the pin placement has only been on half or small sections of the greens for quite some time. That half was chewed up and in poor shape, while the other half of the green was in very good condition in most cases. Also, the bunkers were unplayable, most were mud or packed sand. My group decided after the 1st bunker that we would pull all sand lies out.

Really great round with exceptional service and pace of play. Only had to wait 1 time for group ahead of us. About 5 minutes. If prices included cart in membership package I'd join in a heartbeat. Hole 3 is having some problems with the green but this time of year thats expected. Great time today!

The fairways and rough were in great shape. Some of the greens were a bit spotty and the traps had many rocks. My biggest complaint was the pace of play and no rangers to encourage the slow group to pick up the pace.

Overall the course was very nice. Greens were spectacular and very pretty course. Bunkers on the other hand were atrocious. They had standing water and a lot of rocks. They need serious attention.

This course was outstanding, expect for the bunkers. There are a total of 84 bunkers on this course and every single one that i walked by or was in had rocks and pebbles all in them. it was awful. My friend and I actually let each other pick all the rocks we could see around the ball out of the way bc they will tear up a club. If they could would sift them and then add some quality sand, the course would get a 5.0 rating from me.

Staff could care less about you out there......guess you have to be a member to be treated with respect. This was my go to golf course for 8 years...... guess the new management wants to run it in the ground.....greens were in good shape though....... will not go back.....

Avalon's tee to green is an above average challenge, but the greens make this course a real challenge. the fairways were in great shape, while uneven.

The course was in excellent shape and the staff were very helpful. My group will play this course many more times this season. Rates are very affordable for the average golfer looking to play a round on a great local course.

I went with a threesome today, and a single was put with us. The front nine we weren't holding the group behind us up. When they got to the tee box, we would be hitting our 2nd shots, very minimal wait. When we finished no. 9, we went to the clubhouse to get drinks, since we never saw a cart girl. As we make our way to 10, a ranger tells us that we were playing too slow and had 4 groups backed up, We were a little shocked, but whatever. As we get closer, we go by the starter, and being more rude, tells us we have to play faster and proceeds to tell us how much time should be between groups. The group behind pulls up as we're leaving the tee box, because they didn't go to the clubhouse. The 3 of us were shooting in 80's, and the single who joined us was struggling a little, as he was coming off a back injury. He ended up quitting on 10. He said it was his back, but I'm pretty sure it was us being told we were too slow. We finish 10, and as we get to no. 11, a par 3, the group in front rides off. Once we finish 11, we spend the rest of the nine waiting on every single shot. Still not sure why they told us how slow we were, but the 2 guys I was with, and this was their first time here, said they would not be coming back, they were miffed. I was mad too, which is why I felt obligated to write this review. As for the course, it is in much better shape than this time last year, but the bunkers still need a lot of work. A lot of dirt and rocks in most of them. Anyway, thanks to the guys on the course for ruining our back nine!

The golf course was very wet but considering the weather over the past week in great shape. The layout is a good mix of challenging holes along with some holes that are get able. From the back tees the front side is lengthy. Especially when wet. The back plays much shorter but if you get out of position can be just as punishing. Greens are excellent. Great experience overall.

This course was phenomenal, I went with a friend just for the day and will definitely be going back!

Excellent layout & challenging. Green's speed was slightly fast with breaks from almost every angle to the hole. I would most definitely play this course AGAIN.

I have played this course several times and have been pleased with experience. With that said, yesterday wasn't one you would want to sell someone on as far as playing it again. The young person working behind the counter acted like he didn't want to be there and could care less that we were there. Zero personally! The sand traps had way, way to many rock/Pebbles in them. I was moving the rocks/pebbles off the green to putt . Now that was a first for me. The quality and location of the course would demand better fillers than what they use in their traps. You will definitely mark up the bottom of your irons hitting out of the traps. If this is the best the club can afford then they need to adjust their rates according. Three stars at best. Put people behind thee counter who makes the customer feel welcomed. And clean out the rocks and pebbles. Then I will give it a solid 4 stars.

First time playing. Good track, some rough spots in the fairways due to the late winter, but overall decent shape. 6 Green was a bit of a disaster, but the only one on the course that was beat up. Some of the bunkers were a little bare also. Will definitely be playing here again.

I always enjoy playing here. Last year was a bad year condition wise. This year fairways have filled in nicely and the greens were in great shape. Not as fast as other times I've plated but still a nice pace to them. Green on 6 is really bad. 2 putts and pick up. Bunkers still need work.

On my way from Cincinnati to Atlanta I stopped by at the wonderful golf facility. The course from the blue tees is challenging and fun at the same time. A lot of hills and slope. Fairways and greens are in best shape. No complaints.

If something bothers than the permanent noise from the interstate close by.

I'd definitely consider to come back if I'm in the area.

Pace of play was 3 hours, greens rolled true and great pace. Fairways best in years, and bunkers shoud mostly be done away with.
