Great course, great layout, great conditions for the weather we have had the last 3 weeks. Greens were solid and fast, fairways were cut short. Great Febraury golf!

Typically a nice track. Conditions were a bit harsh. Soggy fairways and very slick greens. Had a couple putts roll off green which was not fun. Better play during summer conditions

First of all it was 37* out,but we had drove over a hour so we played anyway. We play all winter every year so cold was not a huge factor. Course was all in good shape except for the greens,they had several bare spots and several places were just sand,looked like they didn't do a fall aerification and winter golf there will suffer because of it. Rest of the course was ok though. I wanna go back and see it in the summer,and probably will.

Very nice and well maintained course. This is the second time I have played.

The only issue I have had was on my second visit. The tee times were running behind and every hole I had to wait . Everyone was stacked on top of each other. Not good course management.

Played on a Saturday in November, paired with 3 other guys. The bermuda fairways have gone dormant, but the greens were great...green, fast and absolutely perfect.

This was a great golf course...excellent routing, a variety of uphill, downhill and flat holes, nice bunkering, and lots of pretty views. the course is routed through an upscale neighborhood, but the fairways are pretty wide, and the houses a pulled pretty far back so you don't feel like you are driving down a narrow hallway. I never felt that if I hit is just a little crooked that I would go O.B. There was enough room. There was water on a few holes, but the main challenge is the hills and the VERY fast greens. There are places that if you get above the hole or hole high on a slope that is is difficult to keep a putt anywhere near the hole....you need to manage your game and try to stay below the hole.

There is a fair driving range and a decent snack bar.

Avalon has always had fast, undulating greens, and they are even faster in the fall, so be forewarned if you play. The greens were so fast that they significantly slowed down play as 3 putts were the norm on several holes, starting with hole No. 1. Pin was cut on the right side, about mid green. If you were on the left side of the green, no matter how slow you hit the putt, if the ball crested the ridge, it was going to roll off the green, and a 4 putt was in your future. Same problem happened repeatedly during the round, slowing things down. Cliche to say, but the course needed a clown and a windmill.

we are good time golfers and this is a fun track for all. The greens are designed to make u think & fast. Thanks Golfnow

I would highly recommend Avalon to the golfer who appreciates the attention to detail you find at a private course. The clubhouse is spotless, the carts are clean and quiet. The cartpaths are smooth, the fairways and greens blown free of fall leaves. I found the course layout to be challenging but fair to the mid-handicapper, with wide fairways and some tight approaches to the greens. The views are spectacular. All in all a wonderful golfing experience.

Challenging course with some very difficult flag placement. All in all the course was in good condition, though a few of the greens were in need or healing/work. The folks working in the club house and bar were very friendly and willing to do anything to make our time there the best it could be. By the way, we had a hard freeze the night before we played so there was an hour plus delay....understandable and they offered to let us out of our tee time if we wanted. Will probably play this course in the spring, here it is beautiful that time of year.

Great value for the money. Greens in good shape tough rough.

The condition of the course was great except for the greens. There are multiple "dead spots" on the greens that make for some slick putts.

The ranger was probably the most friendly ranger I've encountered. Usually, I try to avoid talking to rangers as they seem to be upset that I'm bothering them by wanting to enjoy a round of golf, but the ranger on the course at Avalon today was the most helpful, sincere, and friendly staff member I've ever encountered on the golf course. I was very impressed with his patience as we had to delay our tee time because our 4th player was late.

Fairly long holes and undulating greens make this course challenging. But it is a good test of your golf skills. A lot of traps to navigate, have to loft it into lot of greens. Greens and fairways are in good condition. Starter had a great personality, and was fun to interact with. Net, net the course is tough but fun to play.

We Played this Course last year and previous years and loved it. It has always been well maintained and challenging. This was the first time this year playing it and it was very frustrating. They were loosing quite a few of their Greens and they hand them set up way to Fast, like linoleum!
There is no challenge when you can't even control the ball on the green. It just makes for longer play and a frustrating Day!!!

I've played the course before and it's been a challenge every time. The views are great and the layout is nice as well. This time around though the greens were horrible. Some were dirt and patchy at best. They rolled super fast because there was hardly enough grass on them! Id say at least 8-10 greens showed dirt and 3-4 were basically unplayable. My playing partner and I agreed to not even putt on those holes. We were thinking about asking for a partial refund, but because we got such a great deal on golf now, we refrained. If we would have paid full price, they would have received an ear full from us. If they fix the course I would go back, but not right now.

A few holes were very noisy due to expressway, otherwise the course was very nice.

Good course, great Golfnow price. Some greens struggling, most sand traps less than desireable.

The staff was extremely friendly and the course if very challenging but a lot of fun to play

Greens were in terrible condition. The rough was also not well maintained. Very disappointing since previous rounds at this course were very good.
