Slow Play
I live close by so I've played this course many times. Most of the time, it is in really good shape and the greens are always well kept.
Course is challenging but fair.
My biggest complaint about this course is the slow play regardless of the time of year. There are never any marshals on the course to keep slow players moving.
It's typically a 5 hour round. I played on a Thursday and the course was packed like a Saturday. Granted, it was a 55 degree day in mid-December but the play was super slow.
I've played this course in all seasons, and slow play is the norm. They really need to get a marshall.

TRASH EVERYWHERE OFF TEES AND FAIRWAYS, WHY?
What I could not understand here is all the beer cans strewn into the woods and brush near tee boxes, and along fairways. There was other trash as well, it was pretty much a recurring problem on the course. In addition, the clubhouse bathrooms smelled terrible. The course is fine, at a fair price, but why so much trash??

The family went out to play golf
The family went out to play golf for the last time this year and the day, the course, the amenities and the staff were fantastic. Everybody agreed it one of the best family outings we have had.

Great Golf Outing
Greens were awesome. The dew was heavy on 11.10 at 0830, and that was to be expected. The greens were in great shape. Course was excellent as well. Some Challenging holes. Definitely makes you think...would come back to Bristow in a heartbeat.

No changes, credits or refunds
I booked a tee time for my golf buddy and me on the Bristow Manor website. My friend fell sick the day before -imagine that in 2020- so I called. The staff refused a refund, a credit for another day, or even my playing back-to-back rounds that day. I strongly suggest that you play any nearby course with better customer service.

We are unable to to refund those times since they are not our actual course times. Again, we apologize for any confusion and we hope you'll give us another try in the future.
Great Consition in September
Played this course in September and must say I was pleasantly surprised at how great the condition of the course, especially the greens. After a sweltering July and a very wet August, my home course and many others in NOVA and MD were in really rough shape. There were some challenging holes on this course and water is in play on a lot of them. The driving range was small but adequate. The small staff was doing the best they could keeping the carts clean and available during the pandemic. I was able to ride in my own cart but I see now that they are forcing singles to ride with someone. I DONT think that is a good idea. The bathrooms weren’t in service the first time I played but have corrected the issue. I am looking forward to playing there again this weekend. Will provide a review on course conditions. The weather is supposed to be phenomenal.

Very good condition.
Played course 6 weeks ago. Had some minor issues with tee boxes and fairways. But alas , apparently someone paid attention and good things happened. Great condition of course lead to a wonderful, 70+ degree delightful day with friends.

I always enjoy this course. Pace of play can be an issue. But it won’t stop me from continuing to play here.

Great Shape Except Rough a Little Patchy
Hadn't played here in close to 20 years. Course was in excellent condition except the rough was patchy. Greens rolling true but for some reason weren't holding very well unless you had a wedge or less. Need to play it a few times as you don't need driver on every hole including some of the par 5s. Will definitely be back.
