Pace of play was poor. Front nine took 2 hours and 50 minutes and I was a single. No marshal on the course to advise groups ahead to pick up pace. Sitting on every tee box for 10 minutes ruined my swing, muscles stiffened up due to the cold temps. I gave up after the front nine as I wasn’t gonna finish 18 before sun down. I may come back during a weekday and try again. Most likely will come back when it’s warmer.

We played on a wet/cart-path only day which led to about a 10 minute wait per tee box. We had no issues with the slow pace...can't argue with 58 degrees in January.

That being said, we were hassled by the Marshal about our pace on the 7th hole (which was well under recommended time). Our group plays to an average 12-15 handicap and the Marshal went as far as to ask that we play from the front tee's. Ridiculous. This guy was clearly oblivious to the slow pace in front of us and overall pace of the course.

If your Marshal's are going to hassle groups about pace, educate them on the course. Until then...we'll take our business elsewhere.

I love the course layout and the conditions (except for the sandtraps) are always excellent. I've been paying the course for over 20 years and have been very impressed with the recent improvements to the cart paths, club house, rest rooms and general condition. Staff is veery friendly.

My only complaint is pace of play and lack of marshals. Unfortunately, pace of play can be a huge issue especially Friday - Sunday with rounds averaging over 5 hours.

The course has a nice layout, very challenging and fun. The conditions in December were sub par. The staff in the pro shop is very friendly and professional. The pace of play was atrocious. There was no marshal and people playing ahead were rude and not considerate of the group behind them. Value for money is excellent. Normally I would recommend this course to friends but if they dont institute reasonable pace of play, it becomes such a negative. If they can improve it, I am sure it will make playing enjoyable here.

I live close by so I've played this course many times. Most of the time, it is in really good shape and the greens are always well kept.

Course is challenging but fair.

My biggest complaint about this course is the slow play regardless of the time of year. There are never any marshals on the course to keep slow players moving.

It's typically a 5 hour round. I played on a Thursday and the course was packed like a Saturday. Granted, it was a 55 degree day in mid-December but the play was super slow.

I've played this course in all seasons, and slow play is the norm. They really need to get a marshall.

What I could not understand here is all the beer cans strewn into the woods and brush near tee boxes, and along fairways. There was other trash as well, it was pretty much a recurring problem on the course. In addition, the clubhouse bathrooms smelled terrible. The course is fine, at a fair price, but why so much trash??

The family went out to play golf for the last time this year and the day, the course, the amenities and the staff were fantastic. Everybody agreed it one of the best family outings we have had.

Greens were awesome. The dew was heavy on 11.10 at 0830, and that was to be expected. The greens were in great shape. Course was excellent as well. Some Challenging holes. Definitely makes you think...would come back to Bristow in a heartbeat.

I booked a tee time for my golf buddy and me on the Bristow Manor website. My friend fell sick the day before -imagine that in 2020- so I called. The staff refused a refund, a credit for another day, or even my playing back-to-back rounds that day. I strongly suggest that you play any nearby course with better customer service.
