Bristow Manor Golf Club

I always know that course conditions will be excellent at Bristow Manor. Pace of play is usually faster than yesterday. Layout is challenging if you don’t hit it straight. Back nine is Lindsey. I recommend Bristow to many golfers I play with at other courses in large part to the excellent conditions.

I play here 2-4 times per month. Close to home. During the peak season, the fairways are the best zoya turf. The mgmt has been doing improvements to the course...thank you!

We played Bristow Manor the day before Thanksgiving. Course is in great shape. We had a great value at $39. They are making several upgrades to the course (cart paths repaving, grill room updating) without affecting the playability of the course. My only complaint is that they turned up the fans late in the morning. Winds were gusting to 40 mph which made a challenging course that much harder. Overall, a great November day on the course.

This course is in the best shape year round of any course in the area including private courses. The current management and superintendent and crew are very good.

Owners have put some money into redoing the clubhouse and bar and it’s top shelf

They hired a young aggressive chef and he’s amazing

Overall this is a wonderful experience for every golfer

One last thing, during off season their menu is very limited but what they have is very good

I’ve always loved this place. It was in pretty rough shape several years ago, but the new management has brought it back to glory. It’s probably in the best shape of any of the courses in the local area. The layout is great and very challenging on some holes. There’s some holes that either force layups for the beginner or some long carries for the brave or long hitters. The greens are borderline immaculate. Fairways are great. Carts are even really nice. Only negative comments would be some of the staff. Maintenance crews and bar staff are awesome. Pro shop staff and starters not so much. There’s a couple that are really cool and make you feel welcome. There’s a couple others that make it seem like you’re bothering them by being there. Also the pace of play really isn’t regulated. When the course isn’t packed it’s fantastic. On a busy day, if you’re stuck behind a slow group or a couple real beginners, you’re pretty much screwed. There’s no Marshall to push them along. I’ve finished this course in as little as just under 3 hours and I’ve had it take over 5 hours.

All in all I love it here. I guess all courses have their ups and downs and the ups certainly outweigh the downs here for sure. Definitely recommend you try it out for yourself!!

The greens are plush, almost perfect condition and smooth. They are some of the best I have played this year and way better than you would expect for the cost of the round. The sand traps are fair, not great. The fairways are a little thin, but playable. The owners are repairing the cart paths. I always enjoy playing at Bristow Manor, there are some very tough holes, especially #7 and #8. Glad to recommend the course to anyone as a good value. They need to have a marshall on the weekend to speed up play.

Great course to play a round. Good value for money. This is my go to course.

The pace of play was so slow. There was a tournament before I teed off. But it was the slowest 9 hole of my life. Didn’t even play the back 9.

Very good experience, very challenging and it is in great shape. The only problem the pace of play was very slow , it took 5 hrs to play . Our tee time was 10:33 and had to wait on every shot. Other the that love playing the course.

Despite the recent drought conditions the fairways were in remarkably food condition and the greens were pristine. The sand traps need major help but the owner is obviously putting a lot of money into improvements - patio, restaurants, cart paths. I think it is an exceptional value and no matter how badly I play I always look forward to coming back. And I’m happy to spend my hard-earned money at a course where the owner is obviously investing a lot of resources into improving the experience. Kudos! Thxjd

Fairways cut clean and crisp. Greens in great shape. Bunkers raked and sand is clean. New club house features renovated dining and bar. Staff is friendly. Overall, one of the best courses in the area. Very challenging.
