Best GC in Niagara
They claim it's the best course in Niagara and it's true. Excellent layout with good condition tee to green. Very busy as a group of youth had a tournament before us plus heavy rain delay in the morning. The course drainage must be very good as the course was fairly dry after the storm. Will definitely play again.
A lovely visit to this course
GN was such a treat today. Course has been well maintained and in great condition. Golfers respecting COVID guidelines as well as the course. I believe I only needed to fix 2 ball marks on the 18 greens which is amazing as I usually have to fix 2-10 ball marks per green on most courses I have played this year.
Separately - a big shout out to the management and staff of GN. I callled about changing my teetime given a change in schedule with my playing partner, and the staff were very understanding and accommodating to my request. This is not the first time the staff at GN has listened and addressed a request. Excellent customer service and wonderful that staff continues to be supportive.
Excellent challenge for all skill levels
Pro shop signage limits the number inside for COVID safety - good!
Starter has carts sanitized for 1 person per cart unless you arrived in the same car - good. No flimsy vinyl screens like some courses.
The course grooming was excellent.
Multiple tee boxes. We played from white tees. The back tees are way back and have more hazards in play.
We played behind two foursomes. Done 18 holes in 3.5 hours.
It was a great day of golf. We will come back to this course.
Average marks on off course amenities as the patio halfway house wasn't open yet when we made the turn. Beverage cart found us on the back nine.
Great course, great condition!
Once again a pleasure to play Grand Niagara. They are very well organized during this pandemic. The staff are friendly and the course is in excellent condition. It is possible to score well on this course as long as you are playing from the correct tees and can hit the ball with reasonable accuracy. The fairways are wide but the greens are well defended by the occasional bunker :). Great job gang!
Worth the drive to Grand Niagara
Fabulous layout and great conditions - staff is super friendly!! I drive from Mississauga and did not get a warm up and did not play well but that didn't matter it was impossible to not love the course.
Almost Perfect conditions
Overall the best kept course in Niagara Falls, greens weren’t cut today due to the rain yesterday which made for some incredibly bizarre putts and lots of inconsistencies. Everything else was great except they don’t have a course guide which would be nice and carts could use an update... Play here when it’s been dry for few days!!
What a course!
Amazing golf conditions. Really take care of the course. Staff were super friendly !!
Had a blast, will be back to play soon.
Best course in Niagara
Lots of Bunkers, probably could use more sand in them. Overall a challenging course, especially if you play Golds or Black. Potential for slow rounds based on grouping.
Grand Niagara
What a sweet hidden gem. 1st off, This course is VERY well kept. I haven't played a course this well kept all year. The greens are in better shape than Goen Abbey. They weren't as fast, but they were nicer. Very true. Very firm. You can see the care put into the course, the ballmarks that were present, were from the same day. Any other ballmarks were fixed, flattened, and sanded over with green sand and seed. Not alot of places go to the lengths they should, which is why I'm going out of my way to write this review.
If you're looking to play a nice course, good bang for your buck, I highly recommend you check this spot out. I'm going back ASAP.
Thank you to the staff and all who make the course what it is.
Regards,
Dean
