About
Port Colborne Golf & Country Club sits just minutes from the banks of Lake Erie. Founded in 1929, it originally opened as a nine-hole course and expanded to a full-length course in 1964. The golf course has matured beautifully over the years with help of major renovations to the design, irrigation, and drainage systems. The layout has rolling fairways that are lined with trees. It is still highly walkable though, since the undulations in the landscape are gentle, which is not to say it does not have its challenges. There are five water hazards and 13 strategically placed sand traps as well as smaller greens that demand accuracy. Port Colborne's practice facilities include a driving range and a putting green with a practice bunker.

This course has ignorant and entiltled members
Although the course is a nice track to play, the pro staff and the members make it a course to avoid. We complained to the Marshall and the pro staff at the turn about the slow foursome playing in front. They didn't allow us to play through and took 10 minutes to putt out once reaching the green every time and had to wait on every shot. Never play it again.
Keeps you coming back!
Natural scenic setting. Love this course and I'm never disappointed when we play here. Very well maintained course with an old charm feeling. Challenging for any level of golfer. Tee boxes are fair to both men and woman. I'll always go back. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. We even bring 9 year old Nikolas to ride along on occasion.
The course is in good shape
The club house was not open so we had to eat somewhere else. The service was poor ,had to load our owe bag on rider.
The course has a great breeze being close to the lake.

great course
The has a great mix of long and short par 4's with doglegs both right and left. The par fives are reachable but offer great 3 shot opportunities. The greens are on the small size necessitating accurate approach shots. Green speeds that day were fast and consistent.
An old friend
I've played this course once a summer for 32 years. It is a very interesting Parkland track, flat enough to easily walk, yet challenging enough (from the blue tees) to keep you interested. Fairways and greens were in very good condition. Rough appeared brown and unwatered for a bit of a Pinehurst "conservation" effect. The course was empty which made for an easy three hour stroll. Both 16 and 17 can easily catch you off-guard if you lose focus. The blue tees have also been pushed back on a number of holes to slightly increase the total distance.

The course beat me today. Looking forward to challenging it again soon :)
Good mature course
Only knock against the course is the greens had no bite to them.
Nice course
Course was in good shape .except for the greens . Some of them had oil tracks or were burnt out. Pace was slow group of 6 in front of us.
Good layout - challenging greens
This is a very good course with undulating fairways that can be a bit tricky and several tiered greens that are very challenging.
Good value. Would certainly recommend to anyone visiting the Port Colborne/Wainfleet area.
Members Feel
tricky in spots. do not get fooled by the flat layout and short length. staff treat you like a member.
Wonderful day
Booked last minute and turned out to be a great day. Lovely older course with open fairways edged by mature trees. Nicely maintained greens and fairways. We were playing behind a seniors tournament so it was a little slower than we liked (2 pp, one carrying, one pushing ).
Staff was friendly and helpful. Thanks to the young lady in the snack bar she was really nice

Hidden jewel
Found the course to be in excellent condition. The greens were in great shape as were the fairways. I could not have asked for a better value for money golf experience. Will want to go back as soon as possible.

Very flat course. Fairways 8 out of 10. Greens very true .

Although the carts weren't allowed due to the amount of rain the previous days, the course was in great shape, particularly the greens.
Also a big thank you to staff, particularly Nick for being so accomodating.
Looking forward to being back soon.
