Pelham Hills Golf & Country Club
About
Situated just outside of Welland, Pelham Hills Golf & Country Club offers a parkland-style course that is easily accessible from Niagara Falls. With the Niagara Escarpment serving as a backdrop, the golf course has a rolling landscape covered with large ponds, wandering creeks, and towering trees. The Pelham Hills layout features elevated tees and undulating greens that are heavily guarded. In addition to numerous bunkers there is also strategically placed mounding separating the holes. The front nine has a few demanding holes that require long carries over ravines but there are also many birdie opportunities. Pelham Hills Golf & Country Club's back nine tests your drives more than your shot-making skills. The golf course is a formidable challenge but generous fairways make it more player friendly.

awesome greens
the course was damp obviously with all the rain but the greens were awesome and ran nicely
Cow pasture
The pictures look good but the course is a hay field. Most groups spent an extra 5 min. Per hole looking for balls in the impossibly deep rough under the dry cut grass. Cart paths are dirt and deeply rutted or non existent. We waited on every hole. Save your money.
Good value
Five hour round but still enjoyed the course. It was in very good shape. Greens were quick. The rough had been cut, but patches of dead grass sat on top making a little difficult to find your ball.
All in all for $25 walking ? Money well spent.
A Nice Course BUT a Long Walk
The course was laid out to accommodate riding carts so the walk between some holes and the hard packed surface made it difficult for walkers. The facilities are A-One and the staff was courteous and friendly. The course has a lot of blind shots so it is difficult to find your ball in the rough since, although the grass is cut, the grass cuttings do a good job of hiding the ball. Although the price was a bargain, the additional cost of a cart for a single golfer would bring he price to les than a bargain.
Great Layout _ Long Rough
This is still early in the season (at least this year) and the course stills needs some work to get it into the condition it was in last year (excellent).
The fairways are reasonably wide but if you end up in the rough it is pretty long so you need to step on ,your ball to find it.
The traps have not been maintained at all yet this year and are pretty bad
good for the money
Course was in good shape. The greens were much better than a few weeks ago when we played there(they still have a little way to go,as the winter was really ruff on them)they are at about75%.Fairways were good ,ruff was a little long,so you need an extra club to get out.
Great Course.
Long course, great layout. Will be excellent with another cut. Nice, big greens. I shall return.
needs attention
Very disappointed 6in rough, good luck finding your ball,, invited friend and i was imparessed.
Good potential but poorly maintained.
Six inch rough made it impossible to find your ball. Several dead, cut down trees obviously appear to have been unattended for a long time was very unsightly!! Tall grass around the edges of some sand traps! Overall very disappointing and do not plan on returning or recommending to anyone!!
Too wet
The ruff areas are over grown. Possibly due to ground saturation and not being able to groom. Cart paths would go a long way to help reduce damage during wet times. The greens are good in condition considering the winter experienced in the Niagara this year. Price was good. I'll be back.
Russ
This course was in bad shape
They didn't mow the rough so it was absolutely impossible to hit your ball out of it, if you could actually find the ball
hairy and soggy
It's been so wet they can't get the machines out to cut - I'd wait for at least a couple weeks. Some long carries for the average golfer.
Very interesting challenging course.
This course was far too wet to be played and should not be open.It is too wet to walk and the carts are doing irreparable damage to the course.
It is the wettest course I have ever played and shouldnot yet be made available on Golf Now.
nice mature course
bad start to the season , course was wet ,green not in bad condition, rough had not being cut/ extremely thick. couple of weeks should be in goodshape
Too wet, charged for a cart but only allowed on fairways!
The course was decent, really wet due to weather, was charged for cart then told to stay on fairways... Would have just walked it! 50.00 for 18 with the condition the course is in... Way too much. Rough grass hadn't been cut all year. Never find your ball after a great drive. Overall disappointed for my first time.
This course is well layed out
Unfortunately due to the amount of rain we've had the grass hasn't been cut in the ruff and around the fringes. It was almost impossible to find your ball unless it was in the fairway or on the green. If your game is not up to par and you're not hitting a straight ball I'd give it a few weeks. Overall, I think it would be a good course Ito play f the conditions were better.
Tough Day
The course has suffered through tough weather.
the rough was impossible to get through, and balls were lost constantly. The greens were good, but the fairways have issues regarding definition and moisture. Not complaining but it needs some sunshine and wind to give the crew an oppurtunity to clean up.
Good course for the cost
A couple challenging holes, and a couple elevation changes. Overall a decent course with very friendly staff
fun course
the friendly staff started our day off with a pleasurable first impression and gave us an idea of what to expect when on the course. members on the course were friendly and proud of this club .nice clubhouse was easy to navigate. the rolling hills makes the course enjoyable for both the average and more practiced golfer .should be able to play 18 holes in just over 3.5 hours riding.
early spring golf
I have played Pelham many times and always enjoy the course. Sunday the course was really wet(rained all week) but we managed to get through without wet feet.
green were really fast and lots of water on the fairways
