About
The Heron Course is one of two 18-hole courses at Cardinal Lakes Golf Club. It is the club's newer championship layout, designed to complement the original course, the executive-length Sparrow. It is 6,765 yards from the back tees but it feels as though it is considerably longer since many holes play into the prevailing wind. The golf course combines elements of classic links, parkland, and Carolinian courses. The generous fairways are guarded by bunkers and the large, fast greens are gently contoured and surrounded by trees. Water is a prominent feature throughout, coming into play on all but four holes. The layout saved the most challenging for last with its signature 18th hole, a par 3 with a tricky island green.

Still great value and a good 6700 track.....have to change your approach when the winds are up!!!
Very soggy Monday after 2 inches of rain...all good
When one pays $ 50 dollars or more one should not be handed a PHOTOCOPY of the scorecard.
A scorecard represents the Golf Club ... Cheap !!!

The staff was friendly. The course was great. The days weather was perfect. All in all it made for a great round of golf!!!

Had a 10.04 tee time when i got there had to wait for Mens shotgun start to continue didn"t wait to long

After 13 holes down came the rain soak to the bones
Going to be 75 yrs. Soon Two new hips Handicap 32The course is nice Meet up with different people They don't mine me shooting from red tees Shot a 102 Monday and 102 today Having fun enjoying the game not out there to break course record
Needs more improvement
I've played the course off and on over the last three years, very convenient and its okay. What would make it better and attract me more than once or twice a year: 1) improved sand bunkers - no apparent attempt to maintain let alone upgrade. 2) a half-way facility with access to drinking water, maybe sandwiches and washrooms. Washrooms are available but not all that pleasant. I understand the course layout is not conducive to a break after nine but consider setting up a canteen, seating area, a bit of shade, free access to drinking water. I also understand that the carts come around but not very consistent.
Hidden Gem
I have been driving down here from Burlington for 7 or 8 years now....I play the tips at 6800 yards and always a great time and great people as i usually come as a single or with my son (5HCP)...
Keep up the good work by the new owners!
Love the course as every round is different because of the wind....today was from the north(usually west) at least 30km at times...today...magic!!!
Greens were great for a Sunday and well looked after!!!

Great course!
My only criticism is the abundance of wet spots through out the course that make the conditions something to be desired but other than that it's a great course. Super fun.
