About
Cardinal Lakes Golf Club offers two 18-hole courses, a championship and an executive. The Sparrow Course is the original executive layout and while it may only be 4,909 yards, it offers the same challenges as its championship sister course. The generous fairways, many of which are doglegs, are flanked with rough areas and there are numerous ponds and lakes that come into play. Surrounded by trees and bunkers, the small greens demand accuracy. It may be a short layout, but this formidable golf course requires careful course management, proper club selection, and solid short game skills. While it may often be overlooked because of its length, the Sparrow is Niagara's most formidable short track

Sparrow Lakes
Course was in good shape, the greens had been aerated, which is expected for this time of year, but would have been nice to know before booking.
Overall good experience, will go back.
Goose City
A lot of geese and goose droppings everywhere. Maybe just late season birds? No map on score cards or hole signs. A bit difficult to follow if you don't know the course. Nice course layout and fast greens. Paid for 18, only did the front 9.
Great weather
The course was in good shape, fairly short with too many par 3's. Still enjoyed the day and ythe round. Good value.

I like the sparrow when I walk 18 it a short coarse with challenging approach shots to very fast greens that are in great shape

Sparrow
The pace of play was great...18 holes in 3 hours. Course was over watered (not by rain) so wet for summer time conditions...some balls were plugging and little or no roll. Parking lot was very dusty...everything else was good. TJ
Short but sweet
Greens were very good, course is very short and great for beginners. No really memorable signature holes, no "wow" factor, but great value.
Great little course!
Great value at 10.00 for 9 holes! Electric cart price...ridiculous at 16.00! Per person....Course in good shape, no waiting. Will be back.
Sparrow lakes
Very good the only thing I didn't like was for our group was asked to take on fourth player who didn't fit our pace. It would be better to be asked when the guy isn't standing right there.
long day
this course was jammed. Had to wait every hole. There is no diagram of any of the holes on the course nor scorecard. It would be nice to know where hazards are on the course. We saw a marshall at the start but nowhere to be seen afterwards.
Sparrow Lakes - Sparrow Course
It was my first time playing the facility which has two 18 hole courses. I got a great deal to play the Sparrow Course for only 10$ - unfortunately, the deal didn't state that this was essentially an executive course - 4900 yards with a couple par 5's. It was in great shape with excellent greens. Just wished I could have been placed on the longer course of 6500 yards.
Great Course
I have played this course 3 or 4 times this year already and it has always been excellent. It is only about 5000 yards but great for walking. The fairways and greens are in excellent shape and way better than one would expect from a course of this size. This round only took 3 1/2 hours (twosome)as not many golfers out early morning after rain the day before, but the longest it has ever taken to walk 18 has been 4 1/2 hours. Thouroughky enjoy this track every time out.
great value
Some challenging holes, soft lush fairways,fast greens, lots of water, decent tee boxes, not too long. The only problem I had was where to go. No map on the scorecard and no hole layouts at the tees left first time visitors unsure of where to hit.
Overall lots to like. I will definitely be back.

There is no other course in the niagara region that can touch the quality for the price of sparrow lakes. Soft fairways and fast true greens. Amazing deal!
Great course for a quick round
I have played here a few times and the pace of play is good. You can get your round in a little over 3 hours. The course is great for tuning in your irons and the greens are true and readable.
Nice Executive 18 hole course
Good variety of holes, par 67. Very good greens, role nicely.
Short course, excellent for iron play practice but dont be fooled, even though they are short, if you dont hit straight, several holes will penalise stray shots.

A great little course with some longer challenging holes. You can do it in about 3 1/2 hours.
