About
Cardinal Lakes Golf Club offers two 18-hole courses, a championship and an executive. The Sparrow Course is the original executive layout and while it may only be 4,909 yards, it offers the same challenges as its championship sister course. The generous fairways, many of which are doglegs, are flanked with rough areas and there are numerous ponds and lakes that come into play. Surrounded by trees and bunkers, the small greens demand accuracy. It may be a short layout, but this formidable golf course requires careful course management, proper club selection, and solid short game skills. While it may often be overlooked because of its length, the Sparrow is Niagara's most formidable short track

nice course but overpriced senior membership for an exec course
Great course and an easy walk. Fairways like walking on carpet and the greens are in great shape too. Be nice if golfers fixed their ball marks
SPARROW LAKES IS IN RECEIVERSHIP
Imagine booking and paying a deposit to play a round at your local course only to show up to two men standing in the parking lot telling you that you weren't allowed to enter. They told us the course is in receivership! So to Golf Advisor I suggest you take down the deals on Sparrow Lakes or Heron immediately. What an absolute disappointment.

This course used to have Happy Hour rates but do not anymore.
You beat all their rates even guest rates. Hope you continue to offer this course.
Lovely Course
Great course for my wife and I could us my driver. Nice mature course. Challanging enough for Intermediate golfers and short enough for beginners. Very nice to walk. Only complaint was that golfers are not repairing their ball marks on greens. It must be a problem their as they do have reminder flags on Hole Pins. It seems to be an elderly course membership. Maybe they have problems bending over to repair them. Grounds keepers should be checking regularly to repair. I fixed 2 or 3 on every green including my own. Over all a great day.
Surprising Gem
Despite being a short course, the layout and variety of holes make this a fun course to play. The course forces you to make good club selections and place the ball accurately in spots for a good second shot. Unlike many courses I have played in the area, there were no "crazy holes". Really liked the fact that the course was short from the women's tees so my wife had a very enjoyable round. Overall, a great afternoon.
Sparrow Lakes - Sparrow
Short course, but tight. Need to be accurate off tee. Easy to walk. Good shape considering dry summer. Excellent practice green. And driving range !
Had to play front 9 twice
Wish I would have known that they had a touniment on as I would have played elsewhere. We had to play the front nine twice due to this touniment what a waste of our time & money.
Club house food
Ordered three sausages but they ran out. So ordered two burgers and one chicken strips instead for my group. The two burgers were burnt black beond recognition and hard dry.. The staff offered to make a couple more. The next set came out slightly better 15 minutes later but still overdone.
No real attemp to adjust the tab was made by the manager so will probably not eat there inbetween nines again.
Little gem
The Sparrow is one of my favourite courses to play. It is short, however, it has challenging greens. The course is well maitained. Only drawback, on that there is no marshall to monitor pace of play. We had a foursome ahead of us (two riding) of two men and two women who were walking, playing terribly and slowly, who refused to let us through. We had to skip a hole to get ahead of them.
Pleasant day at Sparrow
I like this course as a couples course....I take my girlfriend here and it is the perfect length for her....about 4000 yds for the ladies. The course is well watered and maintained even in this drought we have had this summer! Greens run true and are fast! Layout is very interesting with water, bunkers trees etc. so lots of challenges! Have played here many times and recommend this course to the average golfer or couple!
Par 67
This course had four par threes on front none. The rate was the same for a cart after paying green fees on line. Pace was terrible. Had most everyone playing on same course.
Fun golf
Very good round of golf, weather Wes very hot so parts of the course was dry but greens were good friendly service played this course several times and never been disappointed with all the services offered .Will keep on playing this course .

Pleasant to walk, enough challenge to use different clubs. Well kept . Enjoy !
Great course for a quick tune up.
This is a great little course to tune up your game. You don't have to use driver on many holes so if you want to practice your iron game or you're walking it's a real treat. Greens roll true and can be tricky at times depending on flag placement. It was a little slow but it was a holiday weekend. Still finished in about 4 hours. It usually only takes 3.
The course is in great shape
We like this course as it is always well kept and it is a challenge for every level of golfer. The staff and members are very welcoming.
