Need a clubhouse!
Beautiful course that is always in excellent condition. Full-size driving range and practice facility. Only thing that’s missing is a nice clubhouse with restrooms and food.
Love the layout
This course is so golpher friendly. I love playing here.
WOW! and not in a good way
I am not one to typically write.reviews good.or bad, but this mornings fiasco was one that can not go untold. Me and 5 workers had confirmed tee times for 945am. At 850am we arrived at the golf course to hit a few balls before our 18 holes. When we asked for the club rentals for 3 of our teamates (also confrimed ahead of time that club rentals would be available), we were told that club rentals were not available until 2pm. Then we were informed that whomever took our reservations messed up and shouldn't have scheduled us because they have shipyard folks playing there today and wouldnt be unable to accommodate us. When I made one final request to direct me to the restroom, before departing,, they informed me that they had none, but Porta John's were available. What a completely unprofessional golf course. Needless to say we will never be back and I will be glad to spread the word about the poor staffing and facility this place.turned out to be.
Battlefield
Great course.Excellent pace (just a little over 3 hour…no waiting at all. Clubhouse (no beverage cart) made for a bit of a challenge, but my wife and I enjoyed it.
Missing the Mark
This is a fun course to play. If they only had a cart person and a clubhouse, then maybe they would also be able to sell a bigger variety of beverages.
Sandy Greens
This course is wide open and I enjoy playing it. However, the place has no club house and the greens were recently air rated and sanded. They were like putting on cement, fast and bumpy.
Well-maintained Course
The course layout is great for all types of players. The fairways, greens, and bunkers are in great shape.
Very challenging course
Actually, in good shape this time of year maintenance in the grounds crew are very good
Amenities Needed
I love the layout, but wow, it would be nice to have an area to sit have drink and eat a little something
Spring Golf
Course was in good shape for early spring. Lots of Poa Annua on putting greens but it’s been bad this year so everyone has some. I like this course a lot. It’s got some challenging risk/reward holes and some serious elevation changes that you don’t get around here. Paired us with another twosome and played 18 in less than 4 hours. All in all a great day at the links. Thanks Battlefield GC!
Won’t be back ever again.
I have played this course many times over the past 5 years and have felt it a decent valued public course. Today after a range session with my wife I decided to pay 9 but she didn’t want to play. When I went to pay the attendant less than pleasantly informed me that I would be charged an additional $15 for a non-playing rider. We have done this several times before with no charge. I cannot understand why a respectable golf establishment would feel the need to charge a non-playing rider nearly as much as a golfer when the cart fee is already being paid by the playing rider. I will not be back to play this course ever again because of this greed. It is a good opportunity for family to spend time together that the course is taking advantage of. Shameful.
Under Construction
This place will be a good location once construction is complete.
Good deal
Great course for the money. The staff does a super job at maintaining the course
Amenities aside, this is a Challenging Course.
Love the challenge. Links style, rolling hills, lotta holes where you have to hit over water or hazards. Keep your 1st two shots straight. More likely lost balls due to slopes on the sides of fairways. Excellent driving range. Porta potties used outside of a boxcar" style check in area - golf products, no grill, bar. Forget the amenities, the course is in great shape.
