VP Gov Affairs - BNA
A nice track to visit and once the weather turns better in the spring the greens will be great. Interesting layout and fun to drive through the woods.
It's the little things.
It's a shame that the owners are neglecting this very well designed course. I've played it twice and have never seen anyone working to maintain it.
Half the greens are full of weeds, and many of the tee boxes are in terrible shape. They can use more ball washers. At the very least they should buy a little paint and paint the blue, white, and red yardage lines on the cart path.
But given all that, the course is so well designed that I will still continue to occasionally play it.
Just not playable
Played on Wednesday. First group out. Just being honest, but easily 11 or 12 of the greens are just not playable. And they are really beat up, dirt, holes, tracks on them. Some don't look even like they could be saved. Shame as I like the course and views, but it's really not playable right now
Nice challenging course
Good course, they've done well getting course in shape from flooding. Some greens are in bad shape., but overall a good course.
Disappointing
Heard alot of good things about this course and wsnted to play it. I truly believe its the worse greens i have ever been on in 32 years.
Horrible Greens
Course has a nice mountain-golf type layout, but the greens are absolutely horrible.....dirt patches and weeds on literally every green. This course isn't worth a dime over $10-15 per round.
One of kind
If you like mountain golf this is for you lot of up and down the tunnel was fun greens were in bad shape mostly because of all rain from storm but staff was really friendly and met some good people on course
Awesome
Great course green was bad because of flooding but lovely course!!!
Losing the greens again
I have played this course many times over the last two years. Last year they lost all of their greens but they got them back at the beginning of this year. They are losing all of their greens again, this course has a beautiful layout it is fun to play but you can't putt on the greens now. Most of the greens are dirt sand and crabgrass. They should spend the money and get a good greenskeeper and it would be a beautiful course to play and people would travel to play pebble Brook but the way the greens are today the course was almost empty. I will not return until they get the greens in better shape!
Disappointed this time!
Pebblebrook is one of my favorite courses. It was disappointing to see that they have lost approximately 50% of their greens. Feel there should have been some disclosure of this up front. I got a great deal through Golf Now so that was my consolation. They obviously have also stopped cleaning their restrooms on the course. They should just lock those doors. The staff was friendly & courteous as always. I will definitely go back, but not soon.
An Unfortunate Experience
A group of friends and I found this course on Golf Now and it was wide open on a Sunday morning. I figured that this was due to the heat but I soon found out that this is due to terrible playing conditions. Maybe two of the eighteen greens were in an acceptable condition. I can work with terrible green conditions but at forty two bucks a person you would expect the greens to not be completely burnt up with crab grass growing all throughout them. I made this account just to review this course. Trust me when I say AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
August 2017 - Greens are burned
Let me start with the Pros: The staff inside the clubhouse was very accommodating and helpful. The course is nestled in the hills and is very beautiful. I loved the course layout. It was not overly difficult to play and not an abnormal amount of hazards. The pace of play was great. We had a good time playing. Now for the cons: I've not seen greens in this bad of shape in a long time. There were literally large patches of dirt on some of the greens. You have to try and putt over clumps of crabgrass on a lot of the greens. I'm not sure what happened, but it appears they let the greens get burnt up in July, which is a shame. It appears they may be having some financial struggles. I would not play this course in the late summer. If you are a serious golfer, then these greens will really make you angry. There was a group of 9 golfers in front of us that asked for a refund and left because the greens were so bad. They had every right to do so. Next, the marshalls are jerks. Plain and simple. On the last hole I parked my car about 7 feet off the cart path - apparently I missed the sign about keeping the carts on the path - one of the marshals yelled at us like I was a seven year old. I'm 41. I won't play here again and I will ensure my friends don't either. the course is gorgeous, so I wish the experience would've been different.
The greens are consistently awful here.
I don't know who they have maintaining the greens here but he needs to be fired. The greens got burnt up last summer making the course unplayable for almost a year and they are on their way again this summer as If they didn't learn anything from last year. It is incredibly frustrating considering this would be one of the best deals in TN. Fairways are nice. And staff is friendly. Greens are just unputtable on 10/18 holes
Course review
We enjoy this course very much. Greens were not the greatest, but that was to be expected.
first time since last yr
hadn't played since last year when course had lost greens and fairways, but heard lots golfers say course had improved,so got a tee time and went to see improvements,,,greens were nice and fairways were in great shape,,some greens still bare,,but that's due to not enough sunlit in areas with lots trees,,,i enjoyed my round,,and would recommend this challenging course layout. greatly improved since last year
Course was in great shape they had New greens because they had lost their greens. Fairways were nice and staff is always friendly. The food is great and club house was well organized and clean. I will play there again.
How did I not know about this course?
I just found out about this course a couple weeks before I played it. We enjoyed it very much. The layout is fun and challenging even though it's only about 6,400 yds from the tips. There are some blind shots and some par 3's with big drops.
The fairways and greens were in very good shape with the exception of a couple of greens with spots that have some issues getting sunlight. The tee boxes were also in good shape with the exception of a couple with sunlight issues.
My only issue was a par 3 on the front nine that was a 190 yd blind shot due to short trees and brush beside a creek. I thought that was a bit odd and don't recall ever seeing that before. I think it's only a blind shot off the back tee.
I highly recommend the course and look forward to playing it again.
PEBBLE BROOK
I enjoyed the course. Rain on and off most of the round. I would like to play it again when it was dry. Greens were in good shape but some ball marks not being repaired, of course this is not any fault of the management. Nice layout and I would recommend this course.
