Ocean Resorts Golf Club
About
Located just six miles west of Ocean City, Md., Ocean Resorts Golf Club is a good option if you're looking for a round that is fun to play but still a good value. The course is known for being player friendly enough for any skill level but there are still several challenges in store with multiple sets of tees that range from 4,800 to 6,500 yards. Water hazards come into play on a few holes and there are also several strategically placed bunkers you'll have to contend with. The layout rewards proper club selection and good strategy but it's not overly punishing for high handicappers. A unique aspect of Ocean Resorts is that it's owned by the Wor-Wic Community College.

Ok Coarse for the money
Friendly staff. 4 or 5 greens listed as under repairs. Very interesting Coarse layout. Wish Coarse was in better condition. As for money, it was the least expensive around. OK for the money.
Still an average course for OC area
Got out early as a single done in 3 hours. Tee boxes 3/5 Fairways 3/5, rough 3/5, sand 4/5, greens 1/5 course layout 3/5.
Awful condition
Horrible condition, no grass on half the tee boxes, fairways were bare and half the greens were basically unplayable, will not be returning.
Bad tee boxes/greens
Tee boxes and greens in poor conditions. Course should make adjustments to better serve the golfer..
OK, Could Be Better
I have played Ocean Resorts a few times before, and find it to be an overall good mix of holes, with several being quite challenging. However, the course conditions were only fair at best, with sizable bare areas on greens and in tee boxes. The course conditions have deteriorated some from the last time I played in 2022. I understand that the course is owned by Wor-Wic (Worcester/Wicomico) Community College, and is used to teach students how to maintain and manage a golf course, but that should further prioritize making the playing surfaces “playable.” I prefer other courses in the Ocean City area, such as Ocean Pines and Newport Bay, but Ocean Resorts is a good value as a Hot Deal and for less-experienced golfers.
Horrible
Greens and tee boxes are dead. Half the fairways are dead. 3 holes on this course are decent and it is nowhere close to a $70 course.
Course Beat Up
I think most of the problem has been a drought followed by heavy rains. The parts of the course that were in the sun were average quality, but the areas that were in the shaded areas were an absolute disaster. I am talking about a mud sand mixed putting green with tufts of crab grass. The staff was very nice and helpful, but the course needed LOTS of work, I wish them all the best
Horrible condition
Only 1 of 18 greens halfway decent. Fairways poor as well.
Really hot!
The price was nice the course for the front 9 was in good shape, but the back 9 needs some more attention. On the first par 5 my approach shot on the green hit the green but it was so hard it bounced off like I hit the cart path. The green was extremely dry and hard and the Kat 3 before that hole, its green was hard and dried out too.
Very okay
Had a good experience overall. The cost is quite reasonable compared to other nearby options and we played 18 in about 3 and a half hours. Most holes are in good shape but a few greens and tees are rough and one or two fairways need work. I will compliment the traps, every one I visited had nice deep, fluffy sand. It isn't resort golf and it isn't long but it's tight! A good place to take some swings, I'll come back here when I just want to get out without a lot of fanfare.
