SaddleBrooke Ranch Golf Club
About
Located in the North Tucson area, SaddleBrook Ranch Golf Club borders the Santa Catalina Mountains. The course meanders through the high Sonoran desert, incorporating natural washes into the design and providing stunning mountain views from almost every hole. Abundant desert flora and fauna further enhance the rugged, gently rolling terrain. The golf course offers a mix of challenging holes and player-friendly features, resulting in a layout with several interesting risk-reward opportunities that will appeal to low and high handicappers equally. The player-friendly fairways are generous, allowing beginners to feel comfortable with ample room off the tees and rewarding thoughtful play. There are also carefully placed mounds, hollows, and bunkers along the large, receptive greens that provide opportunities to recover an errant shot. The golf course is made even more versatile with five different sets of tees.

Great course, great value, don’t stop at the turn
Really great course regardless of the price but that is great too. Driving range a little less than expected but the 18 hole putting green makes up for that. Only negative experience in 2 rounds is the hot dog stand at the turn, 35 minutes for my requested “what ever is fast”! Retirement community, no one seems to be in a hurry at that hot dog stand, but course marshal kept the pace of play up.
Being compromised with my health I was forced to use a card with someone I didn't know. I could not get a cart of my own. As a result I took a big chance playing golf with someone who might have had the virus. I just don't understand why I could not use my own car on the course given the circumstances with the covert virus being as it is. I shall not play this course again until I can use the card on my own without playing with a stranger. I played dozens of times at this course and loved it, but not anymore.
Nice Course Rude Staff
Round didn’t start off well with a very rude staff and poor customer service. The greens were in good shape but the fairways were in mediocre shape with some areas being extremely dry and some way too wet and muddy. Pace of play was horrible as we waited on every hole for 2 groups in front of us. There are no water stations set up anywhere in the course which is disappointing given the summer heat. This was our 2nd time playing this course with staff being rude both times. Last time we felt that since the course was in great condition we would overlook the poor treatment and maybe it was a one time incident, but after this last visit we won’t be returning.
Course need a lot of tender loving care ! A lot of fresh sod was dry out and look like it had not been watery and a few wet spots had pipe damage !
Great greens and fast play!
Greens are back to being perfect and fast...course was great overall. Sub 3:45 hour round on a Sunday...awesome!
Great Course
Great fairways and greens with short distances from
Greens to next tee!
Fun round
Had a fun round playing in less than four hours! Several of the fairways had recently been aerated and some of the areas along the fairways were in the same condition. The course is getting ready for the cooler fall weather by performing required summertime tasks.
Beautiful, wet Sunday!
Played in 3 and 1/2 hours on a Sunday morning! Conditions were wet from big rains this week, but still very playable. Greens were much drier than the rest of the course and in excellent shape! Great way to spend a Sunday morning!
Overall Experience
This is one of the most unfriendly golf courses you could ever play at. My friends and I have yet to have a good day playing there. The staff is rude as soon as you walk in to the club house. Especially if you are any shade of brown!! The residents there are just as bad. As soon as you do something they don’t like or they feel is wrong, they will start yelling and cussing at you and taking pictures/videos of you. Especially the couple that lives on the 16th hole about half-ways up the fairway. It’s happened way to many times there. They know how to ruin a perfectly good round of golf. I don’t recommend this course to anyone who is under the age of 40 and is and shade of color other than white. You will definitely feel unwelcome. Drive the few extra minutes to golf anywhere but this place. Ask around, there is a lot of people in the area that will tell you pretty much the same thing. We will never be golfing here again!
Wet, wet, wet
Played as a twosome after an early morning torrential downpour. There was standing water on all of the fairways so very little roll out on drives and iron shots. Greens were in great shape and the ball rolled nicely. Even though the course was cart path only, we completed the round in under four hours. There were several low drainage areas with several inches of standing water in them and they acted as errant golfball magnets.
Did not get to play!!!! When I got there they were closed. I booked this tee time about 1.5 hours before the tee time so someone or both of you evidently didn't do any communicating. From my house to the course is about 45 miles so I got to do 90 miles of driving to play zero holes of golf. Now I called GN and a nice young lady did attempt to verify that the place was actually closed but of course there was no one there to answer. She said she was sorry for my inconvenience and she sent me a couple of codes for my troubles. My assumption is that the course is 100% negligent here and I will let them know if I play there again. Please let the courses know that it is important for GN to know when they decide to close. I cannot believe that I am the only GN user who books last minute golf.
nice
good fairways, a little softer than what I'm used to, but good. Greens are smooth but a little slow. The collars are ugly like some other courses near here at this time of year. Rough is good and fair. I plan to play it again but I'll bring more water next time..
For some reason, there is no water on the front 9 and it was hot.
