About
Located in the North Tucson area, SaddleBrook Ranch Golf Club borders the Santa Catalina Mountains. The course meanders through the high Sonoran desert, incorporating natural washes into the design and providing stunning mountain views from almost every hole. Abundant desert flora and fauna further enhance the rugged, gently rolling terrain. The golf course offers a mix of challenging holes and player-friendly features, resulting in a layout with several interesting risk-reward opportunities that will appeal to low and high handicappers equally. The player-friendly fairways are generous, allowing beginners to feel comfortable with ample room off the tees and rewarding thoughtful play. There are also carefully placed mounds, hollows, and bunkers along the large, receptive greens that provide opportunities to recover an errant shot. The golf course is made even more versatile with five different sets of tees.

Course conditions have declined.
The practice green/chipping area have definitely been improved. However, between the painted fairways and greens that have bumpy, spotty growth issues; the golf experience has declined. Still a great value comparatively along with course layout and playability. You'll also need to be aware of extra ball roll related to the fairway conditions. I can live with the painted fairways but the greens need improvement.
A good course for seniors !!
This course used to be one of the better courses in Tucson. Management refuses to spend some money on rye grass seed for all 18 fairways so, they paint several fairways !!!! Top golf course people will tell you, not to scrape the old bermuda but, to leave a quarter inch of it above the ground. Planting a generous amount of rye will not damage the bermuda if it is cut short in late spring so that the bermuda can come up for the summer. Guess they have not figured it out, yet !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Great time and course was fine....highly recommended
Slow. Slow. Slow
Their tee times are 7 minutes apart and they have no rangers—you can probably guess how slow it is. More than likely they are going for as many green fees as possible and load up the course with as many as possible. If they need the money that bad maybe they should have the tee times 3 minutes apart. Other than the pace of play—it is a pretty nice golf course.
Snobby People
Ranger was less than friendly. Harassed us. Foursome in front of us told us not to tee off until they made it to the green. Not very friendly or welcoming. We won't return. Course layout was enjoyable. Nice cart.
Fairways are quite thin and about 40% of the greens are lumpy and almost unplayable. Some of the aprons are in need of overseeding.
Try somewhere else
We have played this course for numerous years but have not played since March 2020. We could not believe how far this course has gone down hill. It use to be one of our favorites. The fairways were not good and the greens were just terrible. we don't know what they did but it was not right. In fact one hole #16 was so bad it was cart path only. We (our group) will not pay here again until we see better reviews.
Greens
Greens were bumpy and in below average condition for this course. Usually they are excellent. Maybe because of cold weather. Fairways appear to not thave been over seeded Several were sprayed green.
Somewhat disappointing
I've played this course a number of times and each time I would say the the course conditions have always been between good and excellent. But this last time was very different. The fairways looked as if they had been spray painted green with grass clipping flying up as you drove through the fairway and just off the fairway. In addition, several of the greens were in terrible shape - rough, and looking as if there was a type of fungus. While the value through Golf Now is still appropriate, I think I'll need to wait several weeks before I go back. Hope by then the conditions will be better.
Fun Course
Nice playable course - greens are in rough shape - pace of play was very good as it was cold that day. Back 9 is much more interesting than the front. Worth the drive!!

The greens need alot of work . The practice green is excellent but the course greens are far different tge back nine are the worst of all. And some fairways are running fast.
