SaddleBrooke Ranch Golf Club
About
Located in the North Tucson area, SaddleBrook Ranch Golf Club borders the Santa Catalina Mountains. The course meanders through the high Sonoran desert, incorporating natural washes into the design and providing stunning mountain views from almost every hole. Abundant desert flora and fauna further enhance the rugged, gently rolling terrain. The golf course offers a mix of challenging holes and player-friendly features, resulting in a layout with several interesting risk-reward opportunities that will appeal to low and high handicappers equally. The player-friendly fairways are generous, allowing beginners to feel comfortable with ample room off the tees and rewarding thoughtful play. There are also carefully placed mounds, hollows, and bunkers along the large, receptive greens that provide opportunities to recover an errant shot. The golf course is made even more versatile with five different sets of tees.

Great course
Great condition tees fairways and greens.
Pace of play was great at 7:30am
No trouble getting a tee time.
Great Shape
Course in great shape. Greens medium fast. Price ridiculously low. Not easy to get food at the turn. No beverage cart. Excellent range and practice facilities.
Sunday 5/12....fantastic!
Even with ever changing weather conditions (cool, then breezy, then light rain, then brilliant sunshine) the course was in GREAT shape! Played in a leisurely 3 and 1/2 hours. The Ranch House Brewery and Restaurant is a fantastic way to wrap up a day at the golf course. Great day!
Whatever Happened To Courtesy?
Stuck behind a foursome of over-confident golfers all day today. They waited until the foursome ahead of them was on the green time after time. Learn to play ready golf, for God's sake!
Fair and Pleasant
This course has substantially improved in the last year. The fairways, rough and greens are in excellent shape, and there are new on-course amenities (.e.g., restrooms vs. porta-potties). Our two-some cruised through the course in a little over three hours. After golf, the new restaurant and brew pub is a fabulous (and long anticipated) addition. The staff were courteous and efficient. A great round at a fabulous price.
Great course
We played around 7:30. Weather was good except for the wind came up around 10. No sure if that is normal. Course and greens were in good shape. Course set up great for all level of golfers.
The Ranch
I've played this course many times. It's always in good shape. This time the greens were slower than usual. The practice greens were still fast but when I got to the course greens they weren't nearly as fast. That's to bad. It was still great. I had a great time.
Nice layout.
Plenty of tee boxes to choose from. All ages and skill levels will find it a fair challenge and fun.
Good value.
Course was in excellent condition although there were several wet areas on some holes. Greens were slow but I realize the course is transitioning from winter rye to summer bermuda. Overall a positive experience.
Course is in good shape
The course has been in good shape all this year (Oct - Apr).
Other people have mentioned that the greens are hard and hard to control roll out. They seem ok to me, but I find very few ball marks so maybe they are slightly hard.
The fairways and greens are in good shape.
One thing I noticed today when I played is the infiltration of poa annua on the greens because of the more recent hot weather. Much worse on the front nine than on the back nine. I worry about it, because the greens at Mountain View were completely saturated with the poa about two years ago, and have been pretty much unplayable since. I hope they solve this poa problem.
Today's round was about 3:50 and was a delight with very little waiting during the round.
Windy, difficult day.
Tough windy day but course was in outstanding condition. Pace of play seemed slow but it was Easter. Finished in 4:15. Staff friendly as always. Overall an enjoyable experience.
Easter Sunday
I’m sure that the course was less crowded because it was Easter so we played in 3 hours 45 minutes. Yes!!!
All rounds should be like this.
Great condition
Really good condition. 10th hole is a joke. I recommended right after you opened that you put a yardsge marker on 10 showing how far from the edge of the first laereal hazard to get over the 2nn hazard. This would help speed up play. But of course since it did not come from Jahaski it was and is agnored.
A good round on a nice course...
The greens do not hold, they are so firm it is virtually impossible to even make a ball mark but are soooo smooth and putt true.
Forget about any assistance on the course as the Marshals are nonexistent, no help with pace of play, lose a club or a cover and you are on your own and no drinks or snacks are available. This is absurd and did not used to be the case... sigh.
The layout is challenging, especially the back nine and local knowledge is crucial on a number of holes. All the more reason to have Marshalls available to help first time players which as noted they do not.
A little overpriced given the total lack of customer service but the rates should begin to fall as high season departs around May first.
