A Tale of Two Nines

First time playing here. It’s set up with 3 9 hole groupings. They were VERY different. Started on Legacy which had the worst greens I may have ever seen. Patchy and sandy, and it’s like no one know how to repair ball marks (which isn’t necessarily the courses fault).

Played Tradition for the second nine because the couple slow groups ahead of us went to Heritage. Tradition was great. Greens were in much better shape.

Both had big, multi level greens which made for some long challenging puts, but the overall layout was pretty bland. Driver off almost every tee except the par 3s. Not a lot of shape to many holes.

Staff was friendly. Range was big but matts only.

Not horrible for $42 but I’m glad I waited til rates came down to that.

Decent Course

The course was not in great shape for the amount i paid. The "sand" traps where mud and clay, no sand. There was sand on a couple of the greens though. Also the tee boxes could use some work. The fairways were in pretty good shape though.

Excellent conditions

We took advantage of the twilight rates and got 14 holes in before sunset. The course is challenging and everything is in real good shape with the exception of the goose crap and leaves on a few greens. I would like to see the course be a little more proactive to keep them clean. Others we had a great round of golf and will continue patronizing this course.

First time around

Checking out options in Greater Atlanta and enjoyed my first trip around this track. It’s hilly, lots of slope on the green complexes. But play the right tees and it’s fun.

Staff very friendly. Course was in good shape other than 2 isolated greens. Challenging layout, not a flat shot on the course. Would definitely replay if in the area again. X5

Great Saturday of golf. Course layout is fun and somewhat challenging. All in a beautiful & fun golf course.

Paired up with some great people. Had fun. Beautiful clubhouse and super friendly staff.

It’s almost like a hidden gem. I will definitely be back.

Nice Track

Played Legacy & Tradition this time as they had an AM. Tournament and Heritage was backed up. Pace of play was good and the course was in good shape. The cart paths needs some attention & the greens on Legavy had more pitch marks than I like to see. Anyone that enjoys the game should fix a pitch mark or two to help out all of your fellow players….

Great course!

We hadn’t played Heritage in about a year, and it was fantastic! The greens were in excellent shape, rolled smoothly and just fast enough to get our attention. The pace of play was very good. We will definitely be back! Nice job, Heritage!

Overpriced

You can’t beat the convenience of the course location but it’s hard to justify the weekend rates. Rounds regularly take over 5 hours and they don’t have a 9 hole rate.

Always an excellent course

Got out as a twosome just ahead of a tournament. We flew around and finished in 3:15 so pace was no problem here.

I've played here many times over the years, and it's just a great course all around (Legacy/Heritage) . VERY challenging for an average player as there is not a flat spot anywhere on the course. But that also makes the course beautiful. You will have a little of everything here - elevation changes, water to hit over, long par-3's, and nice facilities. Even saw coyote pups this round.

Love that the snack shack is back open on the practice range - makes it easy to grab a snack at the turn.

NOTE: There is another 9 hole course here (Tradition) that we did not play today.

Poor pace of play/crowded

The pace of play at this course is horrendous. The starter sends people off whenever, which led to a bunch of twosomes who should have been paired up. I didn’t end up playing with the people who booked my same tee time. They also somehow added two groups in front of us at the turn, which further slowed things down.

There are 27 holes here, and you are not necessarily going to play the 18 you book. They had us play Tradition instead of Heritage, which was on my reservation. Tradition is a really crowded, tight 9. More of an executive course. Because of the added groups, tight holes, and a bunch of holes where people try to drive the green/reach par 5s in two, it was slow going.

Otherwise, the course is in decent shape. Some greens a little rough, but fairways and rough nice and green.

Awesome Course

We had a great time playing this course. Easily one of my new favorites in the Atlanta area. Only thing stopping it from being five stars is that for the price they need to fix some of the greens and tee boxes. Excited to go and play again.
