Round was fine , cart was loosing its charge around hole 15 . Had to get off and walk last couple of hills.

It’s hard to write a review when the weather was below 35 the first nine holes, but this course is always fun to play. The greens are always in good shape and course is well manicured.

The course was in very good shape for February. It's a tremendous layout & many holes require a risk/reward decision. There are some holes where local knowledge really matters (e.g., it's safest/easiest to use your 135yd club twice on #16), but the GPS system can really help. There are some beautiful vistas (take your time at the #11 tee box), and their 19th hole is a good one - some good beers on tap and friendly service.

Weather was good till 17th hole then down pour course was in good shape for the time of year had the entire place to our group and had a blast for my buddy's birthday look forward to going back soon staff was great shot a decent round 78 found a ton of balls

After playing the first 5 holes, I was wondering if this course was one of those hidden gems that was grossly underrated. And that's even with having a perpendicular cart path on the second and fifth holes. After that, the course starts to deteriorate. The 6th hole is not good, 7 is a very average par 5, 8 is a completely unmemorable par 4, then 9 and 10 are unmitigated disasters. Holes 11-13 are all very good. 14 is a terrible par 3. 15 is an above average par 5. 16 is a par 4 that's indescribably bad...it's probably the worst hole I've ever played (and that's counting the holes on a par 3 course with Astro-Turf greens beside a landfill). 17 and 18 close out the round with two more bad holes. All in all, the course has 9 holes that are really good, as good as any I've played in Maryland...then it has 9 holes that are terrible. For $45 or whatever I paid it's not a ripoff by any means. It's just not a great course.

We had a great time playing this course in spite of a frost delay. The pro shop staff was great and the course was in great shape . We look forward to returning again.

if you're in the DC metro area, northern virginia or maryland and looking for a really good course, this should be a must play. I think its one of the top 3 courses in the area. With its excellent layout undulating fairways and greens in a country like setting leaves you thinking of links style courses in Europe.

Everything about the course is wonderful. Great conditions, staff, including the restaurant. This is a must play course if your in the area.

This course is absolutely beautiful! Fantastic views, excellent condition and a very helpful, knowledgeable staff. This was the 1st time I’ve played this course, but I definitely will return and tell others about it.

Challenging but fair. Only complaint is not being allowed to walk. Given the rain and cart path only walked most of the time anyway. I will be more inclined to return if walking was allowed.

I make the 1hour drive to play here once a year. During the week, in the Fall, the course is almost all yours. Fast greens and beautiful views. Not many trees, but lots of slope and long Par 3s.

The following normally do not happen at the same time:

1. Four hours to finish 18 holes on Sunday

2. The starter greeted me with a firm handshake

3. $40.49 to play top golf course with great layout and conditions

4. A cute beverage-cart girl

5. 78 degree in mid October

Only thing missing is a good scorecard

We happened to arrive early for our "twilight tee time" of 2pm, which I purchased at discount with golfnow app. We ate lunch, which was a fine experience , and then a little after 1pm approached starter about afternoon schedule. Observing that he wasn't busy, thought I would just ask if there is any chance we could go earlier. He rudely said if you want to pay difference fine, otherwise you wait. There is a way to exchange conversation in a friendly and respective way, this was clearly not the tone or body language of professional demeanor. Wholly expecting to wait was no problem as we hit the driving range, but this gentlemans rude behavior set the tone and really turned us off. I've golfed the course three times now, and thankfully this experience has been the exception., but noted.

Great course with a lot of difficulty. Many balls that rolls from fairway to deep rough, forget it, you will not find the ball. There were many elevation changes which makes the course a lot of fun. Fairways were PGA quality as well as the greens. Greens did run about 11 very fast. I did not have my own clubs and still shot 90. My handicap is 11.

Did not shoot my handicap due to a few lost balls and some three putts. I would like to play again.

We spent a great day at Maryland National today. The course layout is outstanding (but challenging) , the conditions are *excellent* and the staff is very friendly. The rough was not brutal and the greens are running fast and true. Great customer service by everyone (golf shop, starter, grounds crew and grill). Best scenic views in the state and food was excellent. What a treat !
