About
War Admiral is one of two championship courses at GlenRiddle Golf Club in Berlin. The other is the Man O' War, which incorporates part of a historic racetrack that was used to train champion thoroughbreds. The War Admiral Course offers a different character with a layout that is routed through mature woodlands, completely sheltered from the wind unlike its wide-open sister course. The scenic landscape is dotted with water features including a scenic tidal marsh that lends itself to five dramatic holes. In addition to the natural features, there are also numerous bunkers strategically placed throughout. It is a golf course that demands accuracy. Although it is less than 6,900 yards from the back tees, the hazards make it seem much longer. One characteristic that both courses at GlenRiddle Golf Club have in common are the scenic views that can be enjoyed from nearly every hole.

Play this one if you get a chance
This is the members course at Glen Riddle. Reasonable landing areas, some long carries off the tee and into several greens (e.g. 9 & 18) over water or marsh. Fairways had been aerated and they have placed a lot of sod near some of the greens. It had rained the day before we played and there was some standing water and some soft areas in the fairways. Lay out is great and will challenge all skill levels depending on the tees you choose. Nice greens and a variety of hole layouts. Less wind exposure on this one. You'll enjoy it.
One of the 5 best OC has to offer
Even on a cold (39') day War Admiral is a fun course. The carts had weather protection & the course was in great shape. The staff could not have been friendlier. Great Course/Great Value/ Great Day.
Good conditions and challenging
Course in very good condition including tees, fairways and greens. Very challenging with sand, water and/or trees exacting revenge for any misguided or wayward shots. Set up had an unusual number of tough pins as well. My group played form the new set of blue tees (6200 yards according to starter) but due to recent rains, the course was pretty soft and we got virtually no roll out on most of the tee shots. Recommend you move up a set of tees to play this one!
Great course challenging for the hacker
Played yesterday 69degrees in December, can't beat it. Course in great shape.
Beautiful course, can't wait to play again.
The weather was great for november 60 degrees, The course was in excellent condition. The staff was very professional and helpful. Complimentary balls at the range and a great putting practice green really made the entire experience PERFECT. Thank you
