Clear Creek Golf Course
About
Clear Creek Golf Course is a flat, wide-open links-style track loaded with water and bunkers. The only sort of elevation changes you'll experience come from the ravines that route through the course and the undulating greens.
The back nine is the more challenging, spiced up by some interesting par 3s and two outstanding par 5s. Clear Creek's 11th hole goes 555 yards and involves an approach over a ravine, and No. 13 is a 584-yard monster that double-doglegs to a skinny green framed by bunkers.

Greens are in terrible shape, especially compared to similar public courses.
Awful Greens and Pace of Play
Since around January the greens have been completely unplayable. Poa annua has taken over every green making any putt outside of 3 feet impossible to make. I hoped management would start working to fix the problem, but it's only gotten worse as we get closer to summer. It's really disappointing because I started playing here last summer and the greens were in good shape.
The other big issue is pace of play. They only put 8 minutes between tee times so groups get stacked up easily. To compound the issue, they do not employ a marshal to keep pace of play. Even on the weekends when the course is packed. If you're playing on the weekend expect your round to be 5+ hours.
Not for awhile
Been playing here for thirty years and the greens by far the worst I’ve seen-impossible to putt or chip-to.
Use to be some of the best greens in the Houston area. May come back in a month pending new reviews.
Fairways were hard and dry with some crack.
The best things were the sand trap.
Hope conditions get better. Challenging and fun to play when things are right.
Cool
Challenging course...greens need some TLC...enjoyed my round.
Needs some work on greens
This course needs a Marshall to keep folks on their pace-of-play. The greens are not in good shape. I don't think they put any money back into this course
Only thing was the greens
Greens could use a little work. Looks like that’s the only thing that hasn’t been kept up from what little I know about greens.
Whatever weeds that are growing in the greens should be main priority. Course was great other than that.
Recent play
Played this week, had not played this course for several months. To my surprise the course was maintained better than I have Ever seen it, the fields of knee high grass we’re all mowed, no more three to four foot high ruffs
Worst greens in Houton area
Ball bounced all over the place because of the poa annua that makes up at least 90% of the greens. Absolutely pathetic conditions. Tee boxes require a hammer to get the tee in the ground. Fairways are hard with no chance to make a divot or spin the ball.
Spend you money somewhere else...not here.
2nd time playing
It was 2nd time playing and 1st time playing all 18 holes. It’s a challenging course for sure. I understand from one golf partner that I played with that the greens will come in, because currently they are bit bumpy and covered with some sort of weeds that made putting a challenge to get a true break on a ball. The practice amenities are very nice and I will be back to play again.
