Clear Creek Golf Course
About
Clear Creek Golf Course is a flat, wide-open links-style track loaded with water and bunkers. The only sort of elevation changes you'll experience come from the ravines that route through the course and the undulating greens.
The back nine is the more challenging, spiced up by some interesting par 3s and two outstanding par 5s. Clear Creek's 11th hole goes 555 yards and involves an approach over a ravine, and No. 13 is a 584-yard monster that double-doglegs to a skinny green framed by bunkers.

Definitely not worth the money
This course is horrible at best. The greens look like a pinball game so make sure to avoid the bumpers(crab grass) and dirt roads to the hole.
If golfers were charged based off of value this would be a $20 course at best.
Decent course layout, needs work.
The course is a good layout with a good mix of water, out of bounds, and sand traps throughout to force more accurate play. Unfortunately the course wasn't in great condition, the greens were extremely bumpy, the fairways had areas with no grass, and the tee boxes weren't level. It wasn't necessarily expensive but I'd have expected more with what I did pay for my round.
Greens are in terrible conditions.
The fairways are ok, but the greens are terrible. There was crabgrass on every green making the end of each hole disappointing.
How the mighty have fallen.
Long time ago this used to be a really nice course. Great price, well taken care of, gps system on the cart etc. Surprised to find an available last minute Sunday morning tee time available. Found out why. For $62 per player we were sure it was in good shape. Nope! Greens worst I've ever played on. Fairways, hitting on a lot of bare dirt. Either get the course repaired or charge less. We'll go to Top Golf before we play there again.
Fun course,
Tees are very well maintained and fairways also well maintained but greens are not in good shape with too much crabgrass which makes the putt bounce a little erratically.
Terrible Conditions, Slow Pace of Play
Unfortunately, the conditions at this course are terrible, and the greens are practically unplayable. On top of that, the tee times are too closely spaced together so that players are stacked on top of each other and there are extended wait times between holes. The staff are really friendly, but unfortunately, that positive doesn’t make-up for all the negatives.
Just a player
The greens are in bad shape and the pace of play is bad. Took over 5 hours to play 18 holes
Used to be a go to course for our Group
Let me start by saying I won’t give up on clear creek I love the lay out and the staff is awesome here. Have played here a lot over the last year plus. This time the greens were unplayable and not because they were aerated, I could understand that. It really looks like they fired the greens keeper and maintain crew and haven’t hire a new one yet. And again not over seeded either, just dirt with tuffs of grass and every tee box was littered with tees. It’s was like minimum maintenance is being done as a bandage. I’m gonna give a few months and try again I really hope it turns around
Should be better
The price is right, but if raising the price allows this venue to improve course conditions, it should be done. On a beautiful South Texas Spring day, this course is just average, blah.
The greens are in horrendous condition, sand, moss and weeds. With no warning or indication by the pro shop. Not even an, “we are working to restore the greens”- nothing.
No good representative maps or yardage books to provide a hint of hidden hazards, ravines, washes. Definitely, use GPS maps to try to get an idea of hazards and ravines or make sure your playing with an experienced local with extensive course knowledge.
Fairways were burnt st. augustine and weeds.
Pace of play was a minor issue. There was no marshal. No beverage cart attendant.
Everyone is a fan of cheap green fees, particularly on “municipal” courses, unfortunately, $36 gets you below par course conditions.
If you are not bothered by hitting off hard pan fairways and putting on threadbare greens, this course will suit you.
I’ll not be back…

The greens was terrible and to top it off look like the mower crack my window and said nothing someone outside told me they heard the rock hit it
Get What You Pay For
Course Condition is not good right now. Greens are depressing. If you just want a cheap 18, then it’s hard to find cheaper. But if you want decent conditions then spend an extra $10. 12” putts aren’t a gimme here.
Great layout!
Great layout! Greens need to be cute and cleaned. Pace of play was great because we had the first tee time. If not, I’d expect a slow slow round.
No one ever caught us. I think we were 3-4 holes ahead all day
Greens need a lot of work
Not sure what happened the last couple months but the greens are in terrible shape and nearly unplayable.
