Clear Creek Golf Course
About
Clear Creek Golf Course is a flat, wide-open links-style track loaded with water and bunkers. The only sort of elevation changes you'll experience come from the ravines that route through the course and the undulating greens.
The back nine is the more challenging, spiced up by some interesting par 3s and two outstanding par 5s. Clear Creek's 11th hole goes 555 yards and involves an approach over a ravine, and No. 13 is a 584-yard monster that double-doglegs to a skinny green framed by bunkers.

Great Staff, good course, slow, slow play.
Love the course, links style lots of challenges. Bunkers are not playable due to #Harvey. The only real problem is pace of play. Slow, slow play in the evenings. Started around 12:45 and barely finished.
Short, Accurate Course!
I played clear creek this past weekend on a pretty windy day. Bunkers were in terrible condition (played as GUR), if you couldn't get in the fairway good luck finding your ball it is a goner. Very short course with short par 5s and 4s. Greens are fast and have lots of break, definitely a challenge. Fun course all in all, hit to the 150 stick and then a nice 8 iron on to the green for some capable birdie putts. Easily a sub 4 hour course but the pace of play was ridiculously slow, finished at about 5 and a half hours with nothing but twosomes in front of us (three players). No marshal out on the course so when we made the turn at 9 a twosome jumped in front of us after coming off of 18 then invited us to play 4 holes in to the back 9. Can't blame bad golfers for the course, but the course needs to take some pride and have some control out there. Best part of the day was when we paid for our tee time we got a free sleeve of golf balls "just for playing at the course" and a free drink ticket for a beer or soda.
Nice layout but very slow play
Had a nice round until the course backed up. Lost my rhythm and well let's just say the beverage cart couldn't come around enough.
Nice challenge
Lot's of blind tee shots. Greens were fast, and pin placements were not easy. Was happy with shooting in the 80s.
Friendly
Nice course for beginners and advanced players. Only drawback is the bunkers haven’t recovered from the storm so those shots end up as drops.
Slow Pace of Play
I had never played a 6-hour round of golf until this last Saturday at Clear Creek. No Marshall on the course, pace of play was horrible. Waited at least 10 - 15 minutes on each tee box. NO EXCUSE for this - GET SOME MARSHALL's. The only Marshall they have does not do his job, he spends the entire time looking for lost golf balls...USELESS.
There are better options for your money.
Course was in good condition. Play was very slow. Staff in the restaurant were fantastic. Staff in the pro shop were really poor. Not sure where they preferred to be but they certainly did not seem to want to be working in the pro shop. You only get one chance to make a fist impression and the impression was not a great one which set the tone for the day.
Played October 5th, Great Time
My friend and I played on a nice October day. First thing we noticed was that the cart GPS system was gone. Understandable, it was a nicety, but most people likely have personal devices these days. The bunkers were listed as GUR, but they had manicured edges, looked good. Most courses in the area will have bunker problems given what they went through. Great pace of play, we let one two some play through when we got hung up looking for an errant shot. Met them later when they were in our fairway, when we were 9, good guys we should have played together.
Only complaint, a group jumped in front of us at the turn she we made a beer stop. Same thing happened to the group behind us. Where did they come from? The group behind us caught up, when the “jumpers” let them play through. Even though this happened, the good pace was maintained.
No on course refreshments. Though a bummer, it likely keeps the flow going.
good after flood
course was in good condition after flooding from Harvey
Challenging and good course
My friend and I booked a twilight tee time @ 4pm. Good pace of play helped us complete the round before dark in 3.5hours. Course & greens were in good condition. Water hazards & nasty rough posed enough challenges. Good practice facility helped us warm up for the game.
Post Hurricane Harvey -- FANTASTIC!
Every Green was beautiful except for 2 that had some rough spots. speed was fast and course was in GREAT shape, especially after the flooding caused by Hurricane Harvey. Very impressed with the condition and quality of the course!
Cant wait for a rematch, since my normal 95 was a 93 this time...
Sunday funday
Booked a tee time for sonday morning and bunkers were declared GUR course itself was in good shape. First couple holes a bit slow then things spread out to make for a decent pace. Probably one of my best days off the tee box which helps on this course. Played from the whites in order to relax and enjoy the round and carded a 83 which was one of my best rounds to date. May have been higher without the bunker GUR status but only ended up in 3 bunkers. Free beer with tee time was enjoyable at the turn.
Great course
This course is very nice. Open fairways, but still some trouble to keep it fun. It's hit and miss if it's going to be busy or not. I've been there all times of the day, almost every day of the week and it can be completely empty or slammed. Either way it's a great course and the staff are nice people.
